10.01.2022 Have you remembered to update ALL your listings with your how youre operating during this chaotic period? Google My Business and Bing Places for Business both now allow temporary closure status. They also allow you do to COVID-19 specific messages. Unfortunately Apple Maps still seems to be asleep at the wheel as well as most other directory sites are also not helping their users.

10.01.2022 The article is US centric, but does, I believe give an insight into the world as a whole. I strongly suspect by the time my boys get to be my age FB wont exist. It still is a kick-ass platform for advertising for businesses, but does need to be just one part of the marketing mix.

08.01.2022 While this list is out of the US, the amount of fake listings on Google is growing astronomically here in Australia. Today the majority I see are plumbers, electricians, locksmiths and similar types of trades. That said, I have knocked down a few lawyer networks, counselling networks, and others. If you see a listing youre not sure about, message me. Lets get this stuff off the map. ... 05.01.2022 Now is the perfect time to do some house-cleaning on your Google My Business listing/s. Want to remove old photos on your that no longer represent your products or services? So long as youre the one who posted them, simply go to your GMB dashboard (business.google.com) > Photos > By Owner > Click on the image to remove and click on the trash icon in the upper right corner. Voil! Voil!

03.01.2022 You cant stop Google from doing this, but you sure can give Google a strong suggestion using your meta description. Looking at the highlighted words, the search query would have been something along the lines of "document storage management". Really basic, right? The kind of search phrase that should be on this page. But since it doesnt seem to be, Google has made its own... BTW, it looks like the site owner fixed this.

02.01.2022 Hmm. If divisiveness is what gets rewarded on #SocialMedia, then is it any wonder people are going berserk? If divisiveness is what makes these platforms prosper, are they catering too strongly for the lowest common denominator in human behaviour? Is it time for a different kind of platform? Is it time to be responsible for our own actions and chose to unfollow those publishers who are more concerned with engagement ($) than *anything* else.
