22.01.2022 The Tax Commissioner recently announced Project DO IT: disclosure of offshore income today to encourage taxpayers to voluntarily disclose previously unreported foreign income and assets. This announcement comes ahead of a global crackdown on people using international tax havens. In addition to information available through the Australian Transactions Reports and Analysis (AUSTRAC), information sharing agreements are now in place with many countries, including those previou...sly considered safe tax havens such as Switzerland and the Cayman Islands. If you are not currently using a clearing house contact our office today to discuss the benefits and time that could be saved by your business. Don't forget the superannuation guarantee is now 9.5%.
