25.01.2022 The latest order form is out Full of organic fruit and veg, sourced directly from the farmer as well as local hand made goods and a range of eco household and body products too. One of the items on the form is green kohlrabi from Ashby at Barrabup Organics (near Nannup). These are hands down one of our favourite veg. When just picked, they are easy to prepare and delicious eaten raw, either grated or cut up as matchsticks. They're also wonderful in cooked dishes, adding a s...ubtle broccoli flavour. 24.01.2022 CARDBOARD BOX CALLOUT If you have any cardboard boxes lying around, please return them next time you pick up your fruit and veg, or if you get your box home delivered just leave them outside and we will bring them back. You are also welcome to leave boxes out the front of our store anytime you happen to be going by. We reuse things like cardboard boxes, glass jars, paper bags and rubber bands until they fall apart and can be used no more. We also avoid buying new as much as p...ossible because there are plenty of perfectly usable (and reusable) items out there! Please note - we can only reuse these items if they are clean and dry! 24.01.2022 KOHLRABI SLAW RECIPE This week it's all about kohlrabi, one of the most under appreciated vegetables out there. This recipe is very quick to throw together and uses only a handful of ingredients, pretty much all of which are available on this week's order form (items we have on offer are marked with *). For the vegans among you, just substitute the honey for an alternative.... 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil* 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar* 2 teaspoons honey* 1 teaspoon whole grain mustard* 1/2 teaspoon sea salt 1 large apple, cored and cut into matchsticks* 1 medium kohlrabi (about the same size as the apple), peeled and cut into matchsticks* 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion (you could also use Jema's tropea onion)* 1/4 cup toasted and chopped hazelnuts (walnuts would be good too) 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley, plus extra for garnish* ground black pepper Whisk together the oil, vinegar, honey, mustard and salt. Add the apple, kohlrabi, onion, nuts and parsley. Toss to coat. Season to taste with salt and pepper, garnish with additional parsley. Recipe and picture taken from www.loveandlemons.com

04.01.2022 There are so many makers in our own patch that really do produce some of the best wares going around. One that we love to source from is Jenine at Paddock 2 Produce. A chef based in Margaret River, she makes a range of bottled products and preserves. All are made from scratch using whole ingredients. No artificial preservatives, colourings or other additives of any kind. Who needs artificial colouring anyway when you can produce cordials that look like this? Made only with fruit, herbs, sugar and water, plus citric acid.

Boxes will be ready on Thursday 24 December. **OPEN HOURS AND PAYMENT CHANGES** Home deliveries and collection point options are all still available, but we will be starting deliveries a couple of hours earlier. Open hours at our space in Margaret River will be 8am to 5pm on Thursday 24 December. Invoices will be sent out in advance this time around.
