23.01.2022 Day one of Milingimbi Gattjirrk Cultural Festival starts tonight at the Milingimbi Art Centre - 6.30pm! There will be a movie night. Fresh fish from Crocodile Island Rangers and free community BBQ! Finishing off with some dance performing!

23.01.2022 Bugul grounds are set for tonight and Lily Roy is starting her bush medicine making soon. Crocodile Island Rangers have their jumping castle going and food will be coming up from the ground oven soon!

19.01.2022 Opening night and festival activities from Milingimbi Gattjirrk Cultural Festival. Thanks Crocodile Island Rangers for putting on the magic feast at the beach of fresh crab and fish and for Milingimbi Arts and Culture Centre for being the host venue. 12.01.2022 Get excited for the jam packed week of workshops starting today at Milingimbi School with these four incredible artists: Jinu Mathew, Tarzan JungleQueen, Hope One and Bboy Sette. Hope One is respected as one of the top female beatboxers in the world. Descending from the Te Ati Haunui-a-Pãpãrangi tribe and the Ngati Maniapoto tribe she is currently the only Maori female professional beatboxer. 08.01.2022 Day two of the festival! More youth workshops ongoing at the school and band rehearsals throughout the day. Crocodile Island Rangers are at the makarrata site preparing the beef in the ground oven with Lily Roy's expertise. The last of the shelters are being built with CDP.... From 5.30pm, Lily Roy will be running bush medicine workshops at the site, the Crocodile Island Rangers will be serving the paperbark and ground oven cooked beef and vegetables and bugul from 6.30pm will kick off tonight! 06.01.2022 Fantastic day in Milingimbi for Gattjirrk Cultural Festival! The community is busy with a full program of youth activities at Milingimbi School with Hope One (Beatboxing), B*boy Sette (Hip Hop), Jinu Mathew (Bollywood) and Tarzan Designs Jungles (Screenprinting) as well as a full range of cultural and arts programs run by the school! Tarzan also kicked off with the women's group today at CDP running screenprinting workshops as well, and for the rest of the week in the mornin...g! Rehearsals are happening with Tony Batju, Brendan Hicks and young people! Sports and Rec is open tonight with basketball practice and looking forward to Friday's volleyball match and Saturday's basketball tournaments! Makarrata site is under construction for Thursday's Bugul with clan colour flags and traditional shelters being contructed with CDP and East Arnhem Regional Council! Crocodile Island Rangers have been setting up the ground oven for the bush tucker feed on Thursday at the site and running the Jumping Castle during the school day too!
