20.01.2022 HQ will also upload this image to the news section of each event website. You will also find a few laminated copies at Gatton parkrun. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Please make sure you use our QR code every week.

20.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday. Please remember to social distance. Your athletes barcode and token will not be touched by volunteer scanners once given to you. Please put finish token in container once it has been scanned. It is not a souvenir. Then it will be washed for next week.

20.01.2022 Gatton parkrun is allowed to go ahead but if you have been to Greater Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Moreton or Redlands council areas anytime from 2nd January please do not come. We are in need of someone last minute to volunteer to hand out finish tokens due to this. Please let me know if you can help out. Thanks Tara.

17.01.2022 Please we also need a 2nd scanner ( the 2nd scanner may run if at a reasonable pace) and Finish Tokens person to go ahead a parkrun tomorrow. If you have been to Greater Brisbane, Logan, Redcliffe, Moreton and Ipswich council please do not come. Thanks Tara

17.01.2022 ONE MORE WEEK!!!! Who’s coming to parkrun next Saturday!! PLEASE take the time to read through the following. 1. All parkrunners are required to check in. We will share the QR code during the week. We ask that you scan in when you arrive from your car / before you leave home. It will be available on this page, and on laminated posters at the event. If possible, please check in before walking to our usual run brief area.... 2. If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms (such as fever, sore throat, runny nose, cough, shortness of breath), or a loss of or change to your sense of smell or taste, please do not attend parkrun. If you’ve been instructed to self-isolate, please do not attend parkrun. 3. All volunteers will be asked to use the provided hand sanitiser on arrival. Runners and walkers are asked to hand sanitise before arriving. 4. Participants, volunteers and spectators are asked to socially distance prior to the event. 5. Participants are asked to seed themselves at the start line to aid in social distancing. Faster runners towards the front, walkers towards the back. Participants are asked to attempt to remain 1 metre apart at the start line as much as possible. During the event, we ask you make use of all available space and minimise the amount of time in close proximity to others. 6. No spitting on the course, and sadly, no high fiving. 7. The finish line participants are to take their token promptly from the volunteer, without making physical contact, and then make your way to a barcode scanner. Please remember to socially distance if there is a queue for scanning. Guidelines recommend one scanner per 50 runners. We will have two rostered volunteer scanners throughout the duration of the event. Should you finish your run, and then wish to help us with scanning remaining runners, please speak with the run director, and if needed, the RD will advise where to position yourself. You will still receive your volunteer credit. Tara ED

04.01.2022 It was exciting to see events in New Zealand back last Saturday! Each event adopted a different parkrun country as a way of encouraging and supporting others in the global parkrun community. #loveparkrun
