09.01.2022 As a representative of the Golden Plains Shire - and personally - I was honoured to lay a wreath at the Anzac Day service in Teesdale. Remembering and acknowledging our history and sacrifices and losses from times past is really important for us as a people and as a nation. - Lest we forget . Richard Riordan, MP for Polwarth,(below) gave the main speech. There was a very high level of attendance of probably between 150 to 200 people. Thanks to the dedicated groups who organised and participated in the service, particularly the Inverleigh RSL, and all those who attended.
06.01.2022 Beautiful summer morning and sunrise. Celebrated with a bike ride to Maude. #lovegoldenplains. #cycleGPS
04.01.2022 The night before the calculation of the results, I’m running fourth place on first preferences. There are still 800 first preference votes to count but my numbers seem to be getting stronger with the later voters (Only eleven behind third). There are seven places for the 13 candidates. However, the preference distribution may yet knock me out of the seven. The calculation is at 4 pm tomorrow.
