24.01.2022 REMINDER: entries for the Trick Dog Test to be held on Saturday 28th November 2020 at Not Before 7pm close on Sunday 8th November. Judge is Mrs Irma Crews. See October post for the schedule. We will also be holding an informal mock trick dog test on the same night. The Mock test will start at not before 7.45pm. $3 an entry, as many entries as you like, enter on the night. COMPETITORS are not to enter the mock test until AFTER they have competed.

19.01.2022 COMPETITION TIME Santa Paws is coming! Gawler Dog Training Club is doing Christmas a little differently this year and taking our celebration online with a competition! ... We want to see your dogs getting in the spirit and celebrating Christmas. Post a photo in the comments below of your dog with a Christmas theme it could be your dog in their best Christmas outfit, in a Christmas scene, causing chaos at Christmas or being the best doggo with all their presents. We are currently finalising the prize details, but you'll want to be in the running to win! The competition will be judged by the Gawler Dog Training Club committee. Entries close 11:59pm 14/12/2020. 10.01.2022 Housebound Hounds The announcement of the most recent COVID-19 directives in place in SA for the next 6 days include no outdoor exercise, which means no walks for our furry friends. We know many dog owners have been concerned by this news and hope we can offer some tips to help during this time. No walks - no worries! 06.01.2022 Unfortunately due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak and associated restrictions, we have made the hard decision to cancel our Christmas break up party this year. We had been looking forward to celebrating the end of a hard year with members, but with everyone's safety in mind we feel that proceeding with it is not the right thing to do at this time. We know COVID-19 has resulted in many missed training nights, trials, and celebrations that were planned for this year and we loo...k forward to coming back bigger and better next year (global pandemic permitting, of course). We hope to provide as many opportunities as we can to make up for those missed this year. In the meantime, we have some exciting competitions lined up for our members with awesome prizes so be sure to keep a look out on our page.
