25.01.2022 Proud to sponsor the great Eumundi School of Rock event again this year. Well done to all the young people involved and the fabulous Katie Noonan for putting it together. Thanks also to our other local superstar Andrea Kirwin pictured here with me and Dan Purdie MP - Member for Ninderry. Great show kids YOU ROCK!!

24.01.2022 Lovely day to be out and about on my regular door knocks and mobile office. Today Burnside area.

24.01.2022 Out on the campaign trail this afternoon it was a pleasure to meet Sam The Travelling Jackaroo who is driving his tractor around Australia to raise money for the Flying Doctors. Visit his page and donate. What a champion!

23.01.2022 Is your Dad/Husband/Partner/Grandad a Broncos fan? Score this cool Brisbane Broncos pack for Fathers Day...watch the video to enter the random draw. Like, share and comment as per video instructions to enter. @Nambour Crushers Yandina Raiders Football Club Palmwoods Devils Junior Rugby League Club Nambour Junior Rugby League Club Noosa Pirates Rugby League Club

23.01.2022 Today I was proud to commit $38,303 from an LNP elected Government to Wishlist's Reed House at Nambour. Wishlist is a wonderful local charity with volunteers running this great affordable accommodation at Nambour Hospital. Here with Wishlist CEO Lisa Rowe for the announcement

21.01.2022 Its yellow ribbon day today to recognise the great work of our volunteer rural firies

21.01.2022 If you dont want to be on the LNPs public child sex offender register - its pretty simple - dont rape children. Only the LNP has a plan to protect Queensland kids. Labor is putting criminals before victims and they are wrong to oppose a register.

21.01.2022 Thank you Cooroy Chamber of Commerce and Saw & Mill for hosting dinner with Clare Stewart Noosa Mayor last night. Kelly and I had a wonderful time chatting and enjoying the company of local business people. Special mention to Sunshine Coast Foodie for the photo bomb!

21.01.2022 Congratulations St John's College, Nambour and the team who put on STUFFit Student Film Festival in Nambour under really challenging adversity this year. International entrants and locals shared in the prizes. Well done and thanks for inviting me to be a part of it all.

21.01.2022 FAIL FAIL FAIL AGAIN!!! Surely half a million bucks worth of polling with your money would have told Labor that they need to show some common sense, compassion and consistency with border exemptions. Surely this man should be allowed to quarantine at home after brain surgery as recommended by Dr. Charlie Teo? Strong border protections for health reasons...sure...but exemptions can be made on a case by case basis...not just for the rich, the famous and the sports stars.

21.01.2022 Great to join Ted O'Brien MP - Federal Member for Fairfax this morning at our mobile office in Mapleton.

20.01.2022 Have you RSVP'd to join Ted O'Brien MP - Federal Member for Fairfax and I at our JOBS FORUM next week?

20.01.2022 Seriously? Queensland has the worst unemployment rate in the nation with even locked-down Victoria having a lower jobless rate. Labor have no plan and no Budget. Only the LNP has plan to create 150,000 jobs and lead Queensland out of recession.

20.01.2022 Happy Fathers day to all the dads out there especially of course mine, Bob Hunt. Love ya Dad.

18.01.2022 You’ve been ripped off on Rego increases for too long by Labor. YOUR money back to you in time for Xmas. Share the good news...

17.01.2022 NICKLIN EARLY VOTING CENTRE The ECQ has advised that 81-87 CURRIE STREET, Nambour (Old Commonwealth Bank Building) will be the one and only pre-poll location in Nicklin for the State election on 31 October. Pre-poll will be open from Monday, 19 October until Friday 30 October ahead of Election Day on Saturday 31 October 2020. Opening hours:... - Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-6pm - Tuesday and Thursday 9am-9pm - Saturday 24 October 9am-5pm

17.01.2022 It’s not a trip to Kenilworth unless you drop by the Kenilworth Country Bakery and buy a 1kg doughnut

16.01.2022 The Palmwoods Community and Business Association volunteers do a great job advocating for Palmwoods area. I was pleased to be able to give them one of my $300 community recovery grants to assist them in this difficult Covid period. Thanks team!

15.01.2022 Tomorrow is National Walk Safely to School Day. National Walk Safely to School Day is an annual, national event when all Primary School children will be encouraged to walk and commute safely to school.

15.01.2022 On the home straight now! A big thank you to my amazing team of volunteers who have done an incredible job over pre-poll and today.

15.01.2022 On Monday the Palaszczuk Labor Government refused to rule out increasing your taxes if they are elected on October 31. Labor had no economic plan before coronavirus and still have no economic plan now. When Labor runs out of money they come after yours.... An LNP Government will provide the economic leadership that Queensland is desperate for. The LNP will produce a full budget in 100 days. And weve guaranteed no new or increased taxes if elected.

15.01.2022 NEW NAMBOUR POLICE STATION UPDATE - Apparently after over 3 years wait the Minister will finally kick construction off tomorrow. Bout time dont ya think!

15.01.2022 Hmmm seems the local Labor branch are following the Lady Cilento method of rigging surveys encouraging supporters to vote often. What are they scared that actual people might say? The economy is tanking for example? Law and Order is out of control perhaps? Or that Labors lack of investment in Nicklin is shameful?

15.01.2022 Yesterday I delivered my last speech for this term of Government before the upcoming election. It's been an honour and a privilege to represent the people of Nicklin as the State MP for three years and with your support I would love to continue the fight for what our community needs. Over this time we have certainly had some wins, but we deserve and are entitled to so much more than the neglect we receive from this Labor Government and yesterday I let them know. I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every person who has supported me in my fight for Nicklin and with your support, I look forward to making more progress for Nicklin post 31 October.

14.01.2022 It's great to be out and about this week meeting and welcoming new residents to the Nicklin Electorate. My welcome packs seem to be a hit. If you see me about - be sure to say hi.

14.01.2022 Attending Gympie Regional STEM Hubs SteamZone virtual Science Festival in VR from home. Thanks for the invitation. A little more casual than usual but my Avatar is wearing a tie and jacket. Innovation in our current climate exploring new ways to get community together. Well done. Just finished attending a great presentation on Qld dinosaurs

14.01.2022 If you only watch one video this election watch and share this one..

13.01.2022 On of my favourite jobs as a Member of Parliament is welcoming new citizens. Congratulations to all those who took the pledge today and joined our great nation.

13.01.2022 Confused about borders, hospitals, exemptions and who gets in and who doesn't??...yep me too.

13.01.2022 A delight to be clowning around at NAMBOUR Meals on Wheels Queensland today to celebrate National Meals on Wheels Day 2020! This year we recognise the incredible volunteer workforce (over 10,000 in Qld) who have stepped up to help protect over 15,000 people in need through COVID-19. To each and every one of you - thank you for your contribution. Want to volunteer? www.qmow.org/volunteers or call 1300 90 97 90.

13.01.2022 Great to attend Woombye WBCA launch of their Heritage Trail book yesterday. A fantastic walk through history in the town. Well done to all involved.

12.01.2022 Happy 150 Yandina! What an honour to be there for this historic occasion. Yandina Historic House Yandina Chamber of Commerce

12.01.2022 LAW AND ORDER - I’m determined to get the local police the resources and laws they need to clean up our streets.

11.01.2022 Just to reassure the community that rumours floating around that Nambour Police will be relocated to Coolum are incorrect. Road Policing Unit who service the whole coast operated out of the older Police Station and will need to move whilst construction is underway. Current General Duties Police and Detectives that are assigned to Nambour will be remaining in current facilities until the (Long overdue!) Police Station is built. As a former Police Officer myself, I will continue to fight for the laws and resources our local Police need to do their jobs keeping us safe.

11.01.2022 $300 COMMUNITY GROUP RECOVERY GRANTS Community groups have been hit hard by Covid-19 with many unable to undertake fundraising activities to help them raise revenue to deliver their great services to our community. Today I am launching the 'Nicklin Community Group Recovery Grants' to provide some financial support to Nicklin groups in need.... The $300 grants are a 'one-off' and applications close 26 September. Conditions apply - please email my office for more information ([email protected]). Spread the word as funds are limited!

11.01.2022 Protections at our borders...sure...but not one rule for the rich who "bring in a lot of money" and one rule for the rest...all we are asking for is...

09.01.2022 My last shift as a Police Officer I was honoured to do a child safety video with Bruce and Denise Morcombe. The Morcombes are calling for a Child Sex Offender Register and I wholeheartedly support this. Labor voted against it and continue to defend that position. I think they couldnt be more wrong. We have the right to know if a dangerous predator is around our families.

09.01.2022 Queenslanders want a plan to stimulate the economy and provide a decade of secure jobs, and thats what the LNP will deliver. Just like how a reconstruction authority takes charge in a disaster, the LNPs Economic Recovery Agency will lead Queenslands economic reconstruction. A coordinated economic reconstruction is needed to drag Queensland out of recession and create jobs. Instead of rebuilding damaged infrastructure after a disaster, the LNPs plan will deliver the New Bradfield Scheme and build new dams and roads to stimulate the economy.

09.01.2022 Get out to Yandina today and tomorrow for their crazy sales! Meet the crew from Hot 91 with giveaways. Petting zoo, art show tomorrow its all happening. Well done Yandina Chamber of Commerce.

07.01.2022 Heart breaking that movie stars, footy players and rich people get exemptions but poor Sarah who is IN Brisbane cant attend her fathers funeral today. Tell the Premier to show some compassion and common sense.

07.01.2022 Yandina Chamber of Commerce AGM said thank you last night to retiring treasurer and town icon Pat Cordwell for over 20 years of service to the business community. Thank you from all of us Pat

07.01.2022 Strong border controls at present... yes, but compassion and common sense should not be thrown out the window. Premier please show this little Sunshine Coast girl as much consideration as you do to celebrities and sports stars.

05.01.2022 Apparently this is completely safe but one of my primary schools can’t perform a dance at their graduation for mum and dad because it’s not covid safe to dance. #footlooselaw consistency compassion and common sense!

05.01.2022 Well done Yandina Chamber of Commerce on the crazy sale weekend. And thanks to Rob at Yandina Hotel where we enjoyed a great lunch after the event.

04.01.2022 The Gruffalo is here! Thanks for the invitation to The Ginger Factory for the opening of the Gruffalo Trail. An exciting new augmented reality attraction. Get the kids along to see it these school holidays!

04.01.2022 Members of the Little Village Choir were delighted to welcome Patron Marty Hunt MP to our recent AGM and a social lunch afterwards. We appreciate Marty making t...ime for us in his busy schedule. Representatives of the newly launched Little Village Theatre were also in attendance. Both groups welcome new members. See more

03.01.2022 Great to see Yandina Bowls back in action.

02.01.2022 Thanks for your support at the Nambour pre-poll where I have lived every day all day for the last two weeks. Your support is much appreciated! Let's continue to make progress for Nicklin.

02.01.2022 The 19th (and final) Bras n Bikes Charity Ride from Yandina Bowls Club - Club Yandina this morning for Bloomhill Cancer Care. Well done to all involved. If you see them out and about today give ‘em a wave
