07.01.2022 What is Sdhan ? Sdhan is an ancient dedicated discipline undertaken in the pursuit of a spiritual goal. What and how we practice determines what we gain. Each of us may require a different quality or technique to achieve our goal. A Sdhan can assist us to cultivate balance, harmony, ease and calm amidst the outer challenges of life. ... Having a Sdhan provides an opportunity to go within and reflect on your goals and your deep desires for your life. Our purpose, intuition, healing, inspiration and wisdom are an inside job - we need to go within to discover ourselves. Typically, a modern day Sdhan lasts 21, 30, or 40 days and will inevitably shake you free from your usual routine by creating new healthier habits. I’ve opted to do a 40 day Sdhan with the intention of connecting with my inner self more, to tap into the higher self so as to harness the TRUTH within and step into each day with a sense of joy, peace and contentment and the ability to make choices in alignment with my morals and values. My daily Sdhan includes : Meditation- each morning Mantra - each evening Healthy eating - fruit, veggies and wholefoods. Exercise - walking in nature. Music- uplifting high vibrational eg Kirtan learning- spiritual scriptures, texts. To create your own Sdhan the following may help to get you started. 1. Dedicate a sacred space and suitable time for yourself each day to connect within. Determine how long you intend continuing your Sdhan for (Eg 21 days, 40 days) and how long your intended practices go for each day (even 5 - 10min is fine). 2. Create an intention : A positive statement written in the present tense. Contemplate what qualities you would like to bring into fruition through your Sdhan ? (eg Calmness, balance, strength, joy, contentment, compassion) 3. Decide on what practices may assist in manifesting your desired intention. Some practices and techniques that may assist include: Mindfulness, Meditation, breathwork, Yoga, mantra, journalling, healthy eating, being in nature. Be Gentle and Kind with yourself throughout your practice.

01.01.2022 Tether yourself to Mother Earth, feel yourself fully present and grounded. Sink your feet into the earth, walk barefoot, breathe in the fresh air. Feel yourself alive and awake. Enjoy your surroundings, immerse yourself in nature. Allow nature to replenish and rejuvenate your body, mind & spirit.
