25.01.2022 As we start a new week, join us in praying for the Cayman Islands. Almighty Father, hear our prayer for those most vulnerable during this pandemic. We pray for ...protection, safety and for your mercy. Help us to reach out in love to our neighbours near and far. Grant us the courage not to rush back to our old ways, but to be more loving and kind to each other. Lord you have been good to us during this time and we ask for your continued protection and for a quick control of the virus ravaging our world. Please pray for families who have been unable to meet during the lockdown, especially our elderly, as they are most vulnerable. Pray for all the people who because of this, are feeling depressed and fatigued. Thank God for keeping our girls and Officers safe from the virus. Thank God we did not have any deaths or serious cases of the virus amongst the people. We thank God for the Cayman Islands, as our Government were able to put protocols in place to keep the virus from spreading. We thank God for the people of our Islands who adhered to whatever measures were put in place for the safety of the people. We pray that as GB resumes meetings in September, that the young women and Officers will continue to be protected from the virus. Amen

25.01.2022 THANK YOU TO ALL OUR PHARMACISTS The GB International family is celebrating you and praying for you! Thank you for your dedication. We're praying for G...od's continued protection over you and your families as you dispense important medicines which will help save lives and relieve suffering in your local community. The amazing GB members featured are (from left to right): Jacinta, from 3rd Kuching GB in Malaysia, is a pharmacist working in the production of cream/ointment, disinfectant and hand sanitiser. A colleague from her unit tested positive for Covid-19 and Jacinta was requested to undergo quarantine for 14 days too. However, thank God her result came back negative and she is now back to work. She took the 14 days of quarantine as a break even though she is on on-call mode for work. At the same time, she is also upholding all unforeseen circumstances to God. Victoria, a leader in 367th Ballyclare GB in Northern Ireland, is a stroke clinical pharmacist. Lucie is a leader in 1st Bedworth in England.

24.01.2022 GIRLS' BRIGADE'S CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS THE FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19 It was a month and 1 week of intensive work towards the production of 150,000 pieces of cloth ...made face masks. It seemed a difficult and impossible mission at the start but with the commitment of the Governor Engr David Umahi and the ever working Special Assistant to the Governor on Vocational Education Hon. Adaeze P. Nwaji it was made possible. Through this project over two hundred Tailors got employed (some our members), this was timely as it alleviated their struggles caused by the pandemic. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the success of this project and to as well contribute our qouta at such a time.

24.01.2022 Here's the plan for tomorrow! :D

22.01.2022 If there was ever a year our world needed kindness, it is 2020. By happy coincidence, or perhaps divine intervention, our theme for 2020 is Show Kindness. Our lovely logo is sure to bring a smile to someones face, and was designed by the Kanahooka company in NSW. If you would like to order cards or t-shirts with the logo printed on them, please click on the link below. https://girlsbrigade.org.au/product-category/show-kindness/

20.01.2022 GBI's Delegation of Hope to the UN met virtually on Saturday to reflect on the roller coaster of the last couple of months. It is really important to take time... to process and reflect on the disruption. Here's some great questions that could be used online with older girls, mentors and leadership teams. Why don't you take 5 mins a day to discuss a question? You could share your thoughts with another person or journal. 'Reflective thinking turns experience into insight' - John C. Maxwell

The girls decided that the best way to help this year would be to donate, so held a fundraiser. Well done girls!!

Our facilitator was Simon Barrington, former CEO of Samaritan's Purse UK and founder of Forge Leadership Consultancy. It was amazing to learn that his mum was a GB leader in Cardiff! Simon really challenged us to seek to 'manage polarities and not solve problems' in our leadership especially during the pandemic. If you are a representative on a national executive/trustee team, you can register for a repeat of this webinar next Saturday at 7AM GMT. Email [email protected] for more details.

10.01.2022 This year, Girls Brigade International has put together some ideas on how we, as GB, can support World Environment Day. These activities can be run within your... GB Companies or at home to help look after our environment and to help raise money for Girls Brigade International. We have also created a prayer resource that links with the challenges. Using the resources below, choose one of the challenges (or something else that would suit your Country) and make a start. We understand that the current COVID-19 situation will affect the way these challenges can be done but we hope you can adapt them so that they are able to be done at home or at a safe social distance. E.g. walking your 127 steps around your house, discussing the questions virtually with your young people. Please make sure you are always abiding by any rules currently in place in your Country. Don't worry about the fundraising element - we know it is difficult times! We'd love you to participate. If you want, you could raise money for your own company or country. Let's challenge ourselves this year and share how you get on below, we would love to see what you have been up to.

10.01.2022 Today we pray for Australia. Please pray... - For ongoing connection with the girls and young women as some areas are still in strict lockdown and others are ...moving towards face to face meetings again. - For ongoing connection with leaders - the meetings and fellowship times that are now restricted impact the building up of each other. - For smooth connection online during business meetings and company meetings. - That God will be with them as they face uncertainty - the uncertainty of girls returning to GB and the uncertainty of the financial impact on the country. - We thank God that many companies have managed to keep in touch with the girls and families they work with by delivering activity packages and connecting with them online and we thank God for the positive impact this connection has had on the mental health of the young people. - For the committees who are preparing for National Conference in 2021 and Fonomarae in 2022 and for the impact COVID-19 will have on these events. - That as Australia look to their election year in 2021, we pray for the ladies who will be elected into those positions. - That Australia will come out of the pandemic with a stronger sense of God's love and mercy and girls would grow in faith as their lives are transformed. Amen See more
