20.01.2022 Opportunities for our teen girls and young women in another way.

20.01.2022 Today is International Day of the Girl and what better time to hear great news from GB Worldwide about a recent competition run by them. Girls’ Brigade Intern...ational (GBI) is delighted to announce the winners of the Girls’ Living Life to the Full challenge. 18-25 category winner: Jessie Emms from Girls’ Brigade England & Wales 2nd place to Veronica Chita from Girls’ Brigade Zambia. 13-17 category winner: Chloe Treagus from Girls’ Brigade Scotland 2nd place to Precious Ebong from Girls’ Brigade Nigeria. Reflecting on this question ‘What is your hope for girls around the world today?’, the challenge was to produce a creative response sharing your thoughts and ideas. This could have been a poster, collage, sculpture or photograph. Congratulations to all the winners but we were delighted to hear that Chloe from 21st Aberdeen had won the 13-17 category. The other great news for GB Scotland is that Leah McKay, a Leader in 21st Aberdeen, received a highly commended in the 18-25 category. Every girl in every part of the world deserves to be able to live life to the full. We are privileged to be able to reach out to so many through Girls' Brigade but there are millions who do not have that opportunity so let's not forget them and do what we can to make the world a better place for all girls.

19.01.2022 Thank you for your prayers - the International President's Committee have arrived in the Cook Islands for its annual meeting. And what a beautiful welcome by Ta...ngi and all the other faithful leaders; fresh orchid flower garlands. The warm welcome from our GB sisters on Saturday night revived us after our long journey. This week, we are discussing how God's mission of GB can help girls experience life to the full in Jesus and develop to God's full potential. One of the highlights at the airport was seeing two young women Naomi and Mitah who attended The Gathering 2013 become part of the Cook Islands national leadership team! Such an encouragement to us!

18.01.2022 Zimbabwe, Jamaica, Nigeria, Australia, UK, Malaysia, Trinidad & Tobago and Northern Ireland all on one screen!!! The GBI Delegation of Hope to the UN's Commissi...on on the Status of Women had it's second team call today! We focussed on planning for our UN parallel session. Yes - this passionate and gifted young women are hosting a session exploring the positive benefit of Christian faith on the lives of girls and young women. Visa applications are ongoing so please cover the team in prayer and pray that God will open doors!

18.01.2022 So who and what is the International President's Committee (IPC)? The IPC is composed of the International President and Treasurer and an International Vice-Pre...sident (IVP) representing each of the five fellowships. It is the trustee board of Girls' Brigade International and is tasked with deciding strategy and ensuring good governance over the charity. This (mainly) elected body, composed of volunteers, is also here to serve you and support your national leadership teams. The team meets quarterly over skype as well as one annual face to face meeting per year. So let's meet your GBI leadership team:
