Tonight is the Global Cities After Dark 'Celebrate Local’ closing event. Hosted by ABC Radio's Robbie Buck, there's music and performances from Barkaa, KYVA, Sarah Houbolt and Stereogramous; two panels diving into the key takeaways from this week's workshops and an in-conversation with the inaugural NSW 24-Hour Economy Commissioner. Sydney's night-time economy leaders will gather at Maton: Australia’s Guitar at Powerhouse Museum Sydney. Mark Curran - Rail Closures Planning Manager, formerly Night Tube Sponsor - Transport for London will be presenting a keynote highlighting: - In preparation of a 24hr economy in NSW, articulating Sydney’s reasons and needs for 24hr public transport;... - Applying today’s data and insights to inform future planning for 24-Hour transport in Sydney; - Health and safety challenges within 24hr transport planning and ways to address these; - How other cities have approached overnight networks and identifying Sydney’s nuances in planning for 24hr transport; - Articulation of best practice examples from other cities implementation of 24hr transport networks. The Transport and Health & Safety sector workshop will be hosted by Brooke Knox - Director, Industry Engagement and Innovation Partnerships, Transport for NSW and Stephanie Strilakos - Senior Service Designer - Future Transport Digital Accelerator, Transport for NSW.
