24.01.2022 Dismissal 250 for Gungahlin Cricket Club 's Aaron Downey in the club's match against Tri Horns at the MCG. Not quite as impressive as his catch no. 200 in our match against Woden, but none the less another milestone chalked by the two-time Canberra City & Suburban Cricket Association Golden Glove recipient. Not a bad day all round for Downey after scoring 67 with the bat.... No wonder he looks a bit worse for wear walking off at the end of play.

21.01.2022 First of many 'highlights' to be posted to the Gungahlin Cricket Club page in coming days. Despite Luke's misfortune in being skittled by the ball of the day, GCC beat Tri Horns by 187 runs in their Round 6 Canberra City & Suburban Cricket Association clash GCC made 7 for 274 thanks to a maiden GCC ton from Daniel Venables and 67 from Aaron Downey, with the pair putting on 126 for the third wicket.... With another impressive display by the GCC bowlers, Tri Horns were rolled for 87 in reply. Rick Smith came through with the goods again, this time in picking up Addam Harper from the first tee at Belco Golf Club before Addam claimed 4 for 26 in his maiden GCC appearance. Fired up by the talk of how fast his brother Ryleigh has been bowling, Taylor Dean finished with three wickets of his own as well as a few pinatas of opposition batsman.

17.01.2022 Training starts TOMORROW

15.01.2022 Season 20/21 AGM it’s confirmed Helmets are now compulsory

14.01.2022 A sight to behold. Mark Dennison in full flight, chasing the ball to the boundary from 1st slip after Aaron Downey let through a customary bye. Wanting to keep his shoulder fresh for a bowl if required, Dennison proceeds to underarm the ball back to Downey who collects it on the fifth bounce.... Dennison is now out of action for the next two games as he recovers from his stellar effort in preventing the opposition from an all run six.

09.01.2022 A common concept at the GCC

05.01.2022 Gungahlin Cricket Club 14th season didn't end the way we were hoping, losing in a knock out semi final after finishing 2nd in the regular season of the Canberra City & Suburban Cricket Association 4th Grade Competition. Nevertheless, it's the time of the year to acknowledge those that excelled in the field in 2020/21. Batting - Aggregate and Average... Dan Venables with 403 runs at 44.78 Centurion Club Dan Venables with 114 not out against Tri Horns Bowling - Aggregate and Average Dan Venables with 27 wickets at 8.93 Michelle Pfeiffer Club Dan Venables with 6 for 8 against Queanbeyan Sean Quigley with 5 for 41 against Brindabella Most Catches Dan Wilson with 9 Captain's Award Liam Woodbridge Most Ducks This was the most competitive on record with it going down to the last Round of the season Luke Halpin claimed the most sort after award this season with just 2 ducks to his name. With no DRS as yet in CCSCA, Luke secured the prize thanks to being fired LBW by Andy Willcox. It should be noted that Aaron Downey notched up his second duck for the season in our semi final loss but avoided being the joint duck hunter thanks to his criteria of finals not counting towards club awards.

01.01.2022 See the Competition Rules for consequences of not using the correct ball and the onus on captains to check each other's balls before play (at the toss).
