24.01.2022 Staying healthy this winter is more important than ever. Getting the flu vaccine is the best way you can protect yourself against flu viruses.

23.01.2022 On the Gold Coast, people aged 50 years and over can access their AstraZeneca vaccine from GP respiratory clinics. In addition, participating general practices will start vaccinating this group from May 17, 2021, although some practices are coming on board earlier. Today Gold Coast Primary Health Network's CEO, Matt Carrodus, has rolled up his sleeve to receive his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. He said Most of our GP respiratory clinics at Nerang, Hope Island, Upper Co...omera or Burleigh don’t have long waiting lists at this stage, so it’s a good opportunity to book in. It is important residents discussed their #COVID-19Vaccination with a GP or medical expert. While we’ve managed the pandemic in Australia really well, it’s not over yet. Vaccination remains the best way to protect against severe illness and death from COVID-19 and is a core element of the pandemic response, and while we shouldn’t sweep risks under the carpet, we know that those risks are rare. This year Gold Coast Primary Health Network played an instrumental role during the COVID-19 pandemic, through crucial engagement and provision of curated information to health professionals and the community, supporting the establishment of four respiratory clinics in the region to test for COVID-19, distribution of personal protective equipment and supporting our most vulnerable community members. https://gcphn.org.au/our-annual-report-2019-2020-gold-coast

22.01.2022 As this year's #NAIDOCWeek draws to a close we ask you to reflect on the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Always Was. Always will Be. The 2020 National NAIDOC Week theme was developed to shine a focus on the length of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander occupation of Australia. Aboriginal people talk of continuous occupation of being here when time began, and being part of the Dreaming past, present and future. Anthropologists and archaeologists have dated their sites to being hundreds of thousands years old, in fact recording some of these sites as being the oldest on this planet.
