25.01.2022 Welcome into 2015! Its shaping up to be a big year, and we have already been started! We have already updated our hire price list, which you can find here: http://www.gcpsoundlight.com.au/htmldocs/hire.pdf GCP, lead by Gerard, provided production for BayJam 2015, the state Scouts Jamboree run by Scouts Victoria. The show included a DJ, Movies for 700 on the oval, talent nights and others. Although it got a little wet, the result was (of course) fantastic!... Continuing with the theme, Gerard took some time off to go and design lights for Surfmoot, the annual event run by Victorian Rovers (part of Scouts). He also forced his way into audio for a set or 2! We have a big year ahead, with a bunch of gear purchasing planned already. Keep an eye out for details. Now is the best time to get in touch about your events to make sure you are not dissapointed.

24.01.2022 We are mixing down at 303 tonight. Kylie and Mal are starting us off before Formidable Vegetable Sound System Later.

22.01.2022 Saw some cool things at Entech Connect today. Yamaha had the new QL1 and QL5 on demo. Gerard also had a training session- looks to be a good step forward for the platform. He also saw the new Mac Quantum wash and profile - very nice fixtures. I am sure we will see them on gigs very soon. They were also demonstrating a D&B system outside - although I don't think the workers in the Telstra building 500m away appreciated it much! Plenty of other new tech down there. If you get the chance tomorrow it is definitely worth a look.

21.01.2022 We have recently added some Rode Microphones to our stock, with a matched pair of M5's and NT5's joining our collection of shure microphones. They sound great on, well, everything!

21.01.2022 SPECIAL DEAL FOR VENUE OWNERS!!!!!! Do you want to try live music in your venue, but don't want to lash out and spend cash on gear straight away, but still want to make an impact? GCP Sound & Lighting will do any small-medium size (up to 200ppl) venue for just $1000 per night. This is a full PA, with 2 competent engineers experienced with live music. ... We can also offer a lighting package, and a recording package, so you walk away with a copy of the gig (both price on application).

21.01.2022 We have been working with Scouts Victoria this week on Bay Jam, a major camp for the scout section (10 to 14 year olds) with over 700 scouts plus leaders and activity staff on site. We have provided all sound, lighting and video for the event with challenges including creating an outdoor cinema for the whole camp. Of course, we came through!

20.01.2022 GCP Was once again proud to support MDRC Battle of the Bands by supplying audio gear for the event. We supplied them with our new JBL PA, consisting of 2x JBL JRX125 top boxes (up to 4 available), alongside 4x Dual 18" JBL Subs, with plenty of punch available. It's great to see these sort of events running, and to see so many talented young performers having a go.

19.01.2022 We have been working away quietly in the background for a while now building up our inventory. Stay tuned for the full story this weekend, when we take our new 10kw (10,000w!) PA for a spin with the MDRC Battle of the Bands. But in the meantime, you can be assured that when you hire from us you will not be short of options for microphones, as we have recently added some products from Audix Microphones and Sennheiser to our stock, including the classic e906 and the ever famous D6.

18.01.2022 Hey Bands! We know how hard it can be to get a good sounding gig at times. And the frustration of dealing with people who don't seem to care. Well fear not! We mix bands for one reason: The Music! We have a musical history as well as our sound engineering background, so you can be sure that it will sound good. We also appreciate how hard it can be with changed to lineups, and we understand that. We will work with you to make sure that your gig is fantastic.... As a bonus, if you book us now for your band, we will also do a proper recording of your show for you, absolutely free. And not some crappy "iPhone on the desk" style either, a proper multitrack. So what are you waiting for? Get in contact today - [email protected]

18.01.2022 We have just updated our hire pricelist - you can find it at www.gcpsoundlight.com.au/htmldocs/hire.pdf

17.01.2022 We haven't been posting much lately, due to us working on many events outside of the company. However, we have been very busy planning for the MDRC Battle of the Bands, run by Rovers in Mt Dandenong Region (Part of Scouts). It looks to be an amazing event, so look forward to some awesome pictures and video. In the meantime, the second half of the year is looking quiet, so now is a good time to get in contact about your events.
