05.01.2022 Dear followers. Our application for formal registration is in and approval is imminent. As soon as this is done we will be calling for Memberships. We are Not For Profit and any fees will be put towards fighting for our right to continue using the Gold Coast waterways. The very first thing will be our fight to have all of the unnecessary 6 knot zones removed, then our fight to have the proposed skiing curfew between 7pm & 7am on the Nerang River stopped in its tracks, so th...at the photo you are looking at won’t just be a distant memory. Our Association has already been invited to join the Queensland Boating Council and 2 of our Executive Committee will be attending their monthly meeting as soon as next week. All statutory Government Boating Authorities (GCWA, MSQ, QWP etc) attend this and the Boating Council fights vehemently for our rights. We plan on putting our horsepower right behind them. We envisage Annual Memberships to be as low as $25, the rest is up to you. All we need then are the numbers. All responsible waterways users will be welcomed.
