24.01.2022 Hi All, There are a few queries about turning up late to race day. The Committee wants to clarify a few things. 1. If you are going to be late or leave early all the time then please help out at working bees ... 2. You MUST pre pay, register and message the Race Director before turning up late so we don’t have to serve you at Race Control and you can be Pre entered. If you do not do this then your eligibility to run will be at the discretion of Race Director. Arriving late can affect finals configuration and can disrupt the smooth running of the event 3. All racers are expected to run their heats. If you are going to be late and cannot run at least one heat, you will start rear of field and have a stop go drive through pit penalty applied. For racers that are on site and cannot make at least one heat, the above will also apply. If it is determined that drivers are not completing heats to prevent car damage for finals then the club Race Director will have discretion to apply a 5 point deduction from your series points tally 4. You must marshal after your heat or final. If you are running two classes, you will need to arrange another marshal your self. Don’t email, message or ask the Committee. If you fail to marshal then a point deduction will be at the discretion of the Race Director. This may also apply if you rack your car and do not head straight out to Marshal. This does not apply to race director or assistant / commentator or President when conducting other duties running the day or liaising with members and public. 5. Please help out setup and pack up of GRCOR on the day prior to setting up your own race pit. GRCOR Executive

23.01.2022 A few more pics coming in from our awesome fun day thanks to David Martyn! There is another one early Feb and we will be running some practice heats getting ready for the upcoming round 1 meeting. Great to see around 20kids and small scale cars getting around. There were about 45 people who attended which is great. A few weeds to remove but the track has been maintained to perfection and race control streaming tested out too! Thanks to our season sponsor Hobbies Direct for their ongoing support of the club - we you!

21.01.2022 Hoping everyone has a happy and safe Christmas and New Year. Please be patient on the roads and choose a designated driver and look after your mates and family. It’s been a tough year but if the last couple fun days are any indication - we are in for a massive 2021 season! ... Thanks to everyone who chipped in and made the National titles and our recent meets such successes. We are looking forward to seeing everyone back early at our next meet mid January. GRCOR Executive

21.01.2022 Bit more tidy up around the Club during the week including drainage maintenance, weed and grass control plus some detail crushed rock surface work. Thanks to the guys for their efforts. Hopefully we get some good news soon about getting a run in this side of Christmas - a few itchy trigger fingers and nice covid builds out there..

18.01.2022 We would like everyone to have their memberships paid up with forms done this side of Christmas to help with the admin work load. We are charging: $20 joining fee for new members, $60 pro rata to 30 June 2021 for adults ... And $30 pro rata for juniors under 17 years. Please print the form off the website www.grcor.com.au and fill out, get it co signed by a witness and either email it, to [email protected] messenger it to Parky or bring hard copy to me at the fun day. Even if you are a long time member, the form needs to be completed before you practice on the fun days. Cheers Secretary / Treasurer

17.01.2022 Massive thanks to a couple of dedicated members for some maintenance at the club today. A little list of things remaining to knock off over the next week and fingers crossed we get a few open fun days in with a focus on newbies / interested members this side of Christmas. Our AGM is being postponed until the new year - please have a think about becoming more involved in the administration of the club. ... Thanks to everyone for the great work during Covid to help keep Geelong RC Offroaders ready to run!

07.01.2022 UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE We are looking at running a few ‘Hobbies Direct’ fun days in the lead up to Christmas - Covid pending. Also, given the large variety and availability of Electric 1/5, 1/6, 1/7 scale models on the market, we are looking at running a mixed electric Class ‘run what you brung’ in the new year.... The track is in excellent condition and a few local guys are heading out to continue with maintenance tomorrow. Cheers GRCOR Executive
