07.01.2022 On behalf of the Gemfields Playgroup I'd like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone in the Gemfields & surrounding communities. Your support over the last few months has been amazing. We have been working non stop since July last year to get the playgroup doors open once again. We re-open the Sapphire centre in March this year snd already we have had tremendous support. We have had donations from local businesses, friends, families and visitor's alike and we are truely gr...ateful to you all. In April we held the Gemfields Community Easter Fun day at the Rubyvale flats. The day was a huge success for us to show that we are here to support not only the families attending playgroup but our local community. We look forward to this event being bigger and better next year. A few of us have been spending our Sundays selling raffle tickets in the meat & seafood trays at the New Royal Hotel each weekend and I would like to thank Bruce & Wendy for this opportunity. May was our time to shine at the Blingo fundraiser and dazzle we did. We had amazing support once again Heidi and Ann both deserve medals for the amount of fun & entertainment they bring to the community. Thank you to all who managed to read this far, we are truely greatful!

01.01.2022 The Easter Bunny comes early to the Gemfields! Our Emerald ECEI team got to meet the Easter Bunny on his early visit to the Gemfields. Senior ECEI Coordinator, ...Nadia Harley, and Speech Pathologist, Gabi McCosker joined in with the Gemfields Community Easter Fun Day in Rubyvale on Saturday 13 April. There was fun and games for the kids, and yes, chocolate! With around 100 people coming down to enjoy the event, it was a great opportunity to meet members of the Gemfields community and provide information about the NDIS National Disability Insurance Scheme and the NDIS Early Childhood Early Intervention services (ECEI) we provide in Central Queensland.
