24.01.2022 Gen3motorsport would like to thank Kurt McDermott not only for all of his support at the race track over the years. He has done an outstanding job on making a one of complete custom harness for the LCR with all new connectors , insulation, adjustable map switch buttons, turbo blanket on the exhaust along with re insulating the air box. He has spend countless amount of hours and days in the shed working to get the outfit ready to race and as reliable as you could ever dream of.
24.01.2022 After a great battle in the last race a passing move saw us have no wear to go but into a few cones on the edge of the track. One of the cones we hit become wedged in the faring blocking all air flow to our radiator causing a catastrophic engine overheating issue. We pushed on for 4 laps with the cone stuck on the outfit and due to a bit of luck going our way and an unfortunate accident from a fellow competitor that no one wanted to see we managed to take the win going 3 starts 3 wins. The team is glad that both jero and corey are ok after there huge crash in turn 7. We now will be Changing engines before the next state round in 3 weeks time. 22.01.2022 ROUND 1 WA State Road Racing Championship Qualified P3 Race 1..... P1 ... Going into the 2020 race season Gen3motorsport have picked up a new passanger that had never been around a race track. Today the team managed to put the out fit P3 on the grid for race one. We got off to a great start grabbing the whole shot and leading every lap of the race to take the win. Thank you to jero and corey for the great race in such tricky conditions. The team is looking forward to round 2 on the 20th of September at barbagallo raceway.
22.01.2022 Well here is a sneak peak of the 2020 Gen3motorsport LCR. We have clarified with appropriate people here allowing us to run the number 1 plate due to winning the state championship last year. We may not have it ever again so we have have decided to make the most of the chance to run a number here in WA that not many people can. Thank you all for the support and love when we where down. 20.01.2022 All hands on deck this weekend for the Gen3motorsport team. After suffering a over heating issue at the last state round that was out our control we have had to change engines out. We are back with the engine that one the Gen3motorsport team the state championship in there rookie season can it bring the team there 2nd state championship only time will tell.

16.01.2022 The 2020 Gen3motorsport team line up. Rider :Steve Mcdermott Passanger :Dillan Mcdermott ... After myself Dillan Mcdermott road the outfit in 2019 winning both championships in my rookie season along with having the miss fortune of Paul Mathews falling out sustained a badly broken leg at the last round he will not be able to line up for 2020. With Steve Mcdermott having one 15 championship racing solos and myself and dad raced a Sidecar together on 2012 it was a very easy decision to put the old boy behind the Handel bars again and myself jump back in the side. The big question is can me creat yet another first having back to back state titles as a rider followed bye a passanger. Only time will tell
15.01.2022 Team work makes the dream work. Round 2 of the WA state road racing championship took place on Sunday at barbagallo raceway. After only one race at round 1 taking place and the round being cut short due to extreme weather conditions it was important for the team to gather some solid points at Round 2. We Managed to get 3 hole shots and take 3 race win coming away with the maximum 75 points. We got in a great battle with 2 other Sidecar teams in the last race which saw us g...etting squeezed off the track and into a cone. The cone become wedged in the front of our radiator for the last 3 laps causing our bike to over heat. We managed to bring the outfit home and take the win due to jero and corey having the biggest Sidecar crash I have ever seen on the last lap last turn why they where leading. I wish both of them a speedy recovery and we hope to be able to race with you again soon.. Thank you to all of our sponsors family friends and supporters. 13.01.2022 To be the best and race in the best championship in the world the bike prep and maintenance must be top notch. We strive to have our bikes as clean and reliable as all the race teams in Europe. This is a well known and well respected racer From the BSB championship Phil Bell spending his off season preparing for the 2021 BSB championship. The Gen3motorsport team will be doing the same in our off season here in Western Australia.
12.01.2022 We have been quite here at Gen3motorsport over the last 3-4months. We have made some big changes with in the team. Our faring has been up at super spray getting a complete make over and new colours. We will have more photos of our new colours / paint scheme this week. We have also changed our motor over to our 2nd motor Along with focusing on getting Dillan in the right head space things are starting to turn around. We will be entering for round 1 on the 9th of August and t...ake it as it comes. We can not express how great full we are for the on going support.

08.01.2022 Round 1 of the wa state sidecar championship After making some big changes to the Gen3motorsport LCR we have been looking forward to getting back on track with the best riders in the state. With temperatures above 33 degrees Celsius this made for some tricky track conditions to race in for all teams. The Gen3motorsport team mannage to qualify on pole by 5.2 seconds. We Mannager to win both the championship races and lead every lap seeing us come home clear by 30+ second in t...he first race and 21 seconds in the second race. We have introduced a handy cap race for the last race of the day that did not go towards championship points. We had a 10 second penalty on the nearest sidecar and a 60 second penalty on the front sidecar team. We managed to make a late pass on the 2nd last corner to take the win in the handy cap race. I can not thank my team enough for all of there hard work along with my family and our team sponsors for there continued support. 08.01.2022 Round 3 of the WA state Road racing Championship 3 starts 3 wins New Lap record smashing our previous lap record by 1.1 seconds. ... Round 3 seen the Sidecar Failed with only 4 outfits due to some very unfortunate circumstances over the last few weeks. We saw 3 key teams not take place, This left us with 3 races but no points allocated. We had a reverse grid and a handicap race in the last race witch seen the Gen3motorsport team start from P4 20 seconds behind the leader. We came Through In 3 laps to win by 4 seconds. We would like to thank all those that have stuck by us in theses in presidential times. 08.01.2022 Had a great weekend spending time on the motorcross bike Saturday with one of the young up and coming junior riders here in WA. It is great to see someone so level headed and determined and only 15 years of age. I had the privilege of helping him out at barbagallo on Sunday as well. John has captured many great photos over the years and there is one in here that shows how close the handy cap race was. The Gen3motorsport team made a big lunge for the lead in the 2nd last corner and had to ride very defensive on the dirty part of the track to cover the last corner. 04.01.2022 The Gen3motorsport team had their first test day at Barbagallo race way since last year on Saturday. With their new passanger Grady who had never been to the track before was a big task for him to get his head around the new track and the speed difference from the collie circuit. Their lap record from 2019 was a 1:01.6 and managed to put in some Good lap times over a 6 lap duration with PB of a 63.7. They are are confident with the bike and their ability going into the state round this coming weekend on the 20th of September.
04.01.2022 After testing on the 29-2-2019 the Gen3motorsport have decided that the best option for our team to progress is for Dillan Mcdermott to Drive this season. Dillan had a great day out in the side on the weekend proving how much of a versatile and committed racer he is. The team have been in contact with Young Jonah Sita. He has taken the chance to come on board and be our passanger for the 2020 race season and hopefully beyond. We are excited for Jonah to jump in the LCR and le...arn the ropes this year. The team will still be pushing for wins but we are looking at the future of the team and the sport. If Dillan and Jonah can kill this can potentially be a partnership for many years to come. Jonah has had vast experience in the Production road racing championship along with being a speedway Sidecar passanger. 02.01.2022 LAST TO FIRST IN JUST UNDER 2 LAPS 2019 W.A state sidecar championship We use a progressive grid format where you finish one race you then start the next race from that position. We had a chain failure causing us to DNF a race which then saw us start from last place ( 10th ) for the next race.

01.01.2022 This weekend sees round 1 of the 2021 HCMC championship along with the collie TT. The Gen3motorsport team have been hard at work making some suspension changes along with trying out our 2nd set of Pagid brake pads.
