25.01.2022 Vintage Trouble, you sure raised hell at OXFORD ART FACTORY and it was bloody brilliant. It's not every day you get crowdsurfing, a mic cord being used as a skipping rope, and cues to get down low before jumping straight up - At a blues show. Thank you VT
24.01.2022 Match made in heaven I say. Two incredible talents with big hearts (could've made the pun but won't for all our sakes). Check out Karise's latest album 'Born To Fight' here: https://open.spotify.com/album/2swRU2iO0GHhl8JfajOb6K
24.01.2022 Yeees go lads! Get amongst it if you're down at Party In The Paddock today <3
24.01.2022 Download Festival Australia you were a time and a half. From seeing off thrash legends Slayer, to experiencing so many powerful women kill it onstage like Karina from High Tension, Lzzy Hale + Jennie Skulander - Devilskin (also seeing Joel from Airbourne playing guitar while on a fan's shoulders)... The day had it all. Full review up on our website tomorrow before the Melbourne leg! :D
24.01.2022 Excited to be recording our next episode in 30 mins with 'Evil Eddie' (or just Eddie), vocalist for Brissie hip hop trailblazers Butterfingers. And by trailblazers I mean not only being one of the few Aussie hip hop acts actually making music when they first started in 2001, but in writing lyrics that're relatable (think about talents we have now like Esoterik aka Eso and Lil Dicky). In that relatability there's power, and can't wait to dive into that, the band's classic album 'Breakfast At Fatboys' + 15th anniversary tour and... the rest we'll see where it goes. #AustralianMusic #AussieHiphop #BreakfastAtFatboys #15thAnniversaryTour
24.01.2022 Big things are happening for gig supports RedHook, and big things to come. If you haven't checked these guys out and looking for music from a young local band that'll inspire you, get on it
23.01.2022 Met so many wonderful humans at PROGFEST on Sunday! It was great counting planes with SNVFF, talking the environment with MONUMENTS, and kicking personal goals all over the place with bands including The Ocean Collective, CIRCLES, Hemina, Chaos Divine, Skyharbor, Opus of a Machine, RED BEE and SEIMS. Get to meet some awesome personalities below, and also get their genre-bending perspectives on what the hell it means to be progressive...
23.01.2022 Huge congrats Lizzy (aka LPX) for releasing her new EP today called 'Junk of the Heart', the followup to 'Bolt in the Blue' (it literally hit my senses like lightning). This chat marks a true blast from the past, hours before the passionate artist and Neon Gold Records co-founder took the stage for her Sydney headline show at The Lansdowne in January. While we got snowed under when this chat was supposed to be released, we celebrate Lizzy's new EP by bringing it to life - an timeless conversation between two friends. With plenty of banter and warmth, harking back to when the two first met in 2016, this one's just a bit of a 'Bolt in the Blue'. Thanks heaps Damien Weatherley and Inge at Gold Atlas for all your help
23.01.2022 The Beautiful Monument's second album 'I'm The Reaper' is out this Friday, and we settled in with vocalist Lizi Blanco to chat all about it on our latest episode. We find out just how personal this record gets, swap eating habits and even get to meet Lizi's cat... #gapodcast #genandaless #australianmusicpodcast #liziblanco #thebeautifulmonument #imthereaper
23.01.2022 Happy release day The Beautiful Monument! These guys get personal and layered with new album 'I'm The Reaper', and vocalist Lizi Blanco sat down with us to dive into the record on our latest episode. #happyreleaseday #fridayvibes #thebeautifulmonument #imthereaper
23.01.2022 Super keen to catch these guys at Manning Bar next month - vibing on that relatable hip hop. Stay tuned for our episode with vocalist and graphic artist Evil Eddie, which'll be dropping next Thursday - right before the tour kicks off <3
21.01.2022 Stunning shots of an incredible local force thando, and by our good mate and top professional Michelle! When two talents combine...
21.01.2022 Rolling into Friday with Jayden McGrath's new single 'Conditions' stuck in our heads. Get stuck into our chat below ahead of his launch show at Evelyn Hotel in Melbourne tomorrow - we delve into the process and mindset behind 'Conditions', Jayden's passion for world instruments and picking up the didgeridoo, and stopping to appreciate a simple life while in Thailand. Massive thanks Fiona Peacock from On The Map PR <3
20.01.2022 Hey guys! We've got some exciting new content, formats and projects in the pipeline for the pod - The two of us just got together for a brainstorm and we're super stoked for what's coming. Let's just say for now that there'll be more frequent GA episodes, and some fresh initiatives for you to sink your teeth into. GA fam, we're so ready for the next phase of 2019. We've got big dreams, let's make ours and yours happen <3
19.01.2022 This one's happening in TWO days Sydney. Keen as a bloody bean <3
17.01.2022 Frothing at the bit for this. Alessandra remember a nomination for a certain category in these Awards? Yeah that was a time. 2019 should be eeeven bigger, and while we didn't enter this year to focus on really building up the pod to some awesome places, best of luck to our fellow Aussie podcasters. Keep up the great work <3 Listen to the episode that got us there last year, and gear up for the release of Lizzy Plapinger's (LPX) EP 'Junk of the Heart' - Got some special content to celebrate it all with tomorrow. https://soundcloud.com//episode-4-kindred-spirits-soul-sis
16.01.2022 Happy release week Anna Murphy, Merlin & Ivo! #TheSpell is a beautiful concept record, and can't wait to hear it on vinyl, which is on the way. Keep an eye out tomorrow for our chat with longtime friend, and singer/hurdy gurdy maestro Anna about all things 'The Spell".
16.01.2022 These shows are gonna be a good time and a half. Sydneysiders, they'll be playing The Lansdowne in Chippendale on March 8. Love to see you guys there, and big things on the horizon for Great Gable... <3
16.01.2022 So this little pod's been running for a year now. In that time, we've made so many new friends, grown closer with old ones, and achieved some personal highs that we backed with confidence, hard work and a lot of luck. Thanks to EACH of you who've supported us in some shape or form, you truly make the pod what it is. The little things matter. Happy 1st year GA fam, and cheers to heaps more <3 Love, Gen & Aless
16.01.2022 Happy Friday guys from both us and our mates in Totally Unicorn! In our latest episode, I get together with vocalist and funny human Drew Gardner for nearly forty minutes of punk rock talk, reflecting on bare as bones songwriting on latest album 'Sorry' (out April 12), and a shared love for football stemming from our lovely dads. Thanks heaps Drew and welcome TU to the GA family <3 Also big love Amy Simmons and Deathproof PR, legends. This might just be an ep worth drinking on a Friday arvo to...
15.01.2022 Fantastic initiative from powerful voices across the Aussie music industry. This is why we do what we do, to allow previously marginalised voices to be heard and be open minded to different cultures. Great stuff guys <3
15.01.2022 Such a beautiful album, by a beautiful soul and friend <3 Come on down if you're around town in Melbourne, and rewind back to when we spoke to Simon on the pod last year: https://www.general-admission.net//capturing-truth-in-stor
15.01.2022 Awesome having a yarn with you Tommy Vext - you know it's been a good chat when you both lose track of time and get told by the tour manager (and all round legend) Robby to wrap it up. Stay tuned for this one to drop this coming week!
15.01.2022 Singer and rock icon John Corabi (The Dead Daisies, ex-Motley Crue) is set to hit us from 28 March for a few solo shows, where he'll play Mötley's '94 record with his band in full. Ahead of his son and drummer Ian's first trip down here, I got together with Corabi to chat all things family - It's been a bit of an emotional trip getting here, but it's sure as hell worth it, with the shows kicking off tomorrow at Crowbar Sydney. Check out our chat https://soundcloud.com//father-and-son-travels-pains-and-a
14.01.2022 Huge shoutout to Totally Unicorn's vocalist Drew Gardner for coming on the pod today, ahead of the release of second record 'Sorry' on April 12. Episode 24's all about football and dads, dogs and also a huge screw you to people who judge on physical appearance and the way you dress. This one's gonna be released next week so keep an eye out... Also cheers Amy from Deathproof PR you legend. #GeneralAdmission #AustralianMusic #podcast #Sorry #TotallyUnicorn
14.01.2022 Some killer footage by From the Pit of our good mates in RED BEE, who absolutely RIPPED their set at PROGFEST this year. Revisit our chat with the guys and some of the other artists on the lineup here: https://soundcloud.com//progfest-sydney-2019-artist-perspe
14.01.2022 Well said, lads.
14.01.2022 Signed - Absolutely backward legislation. There are definitely avenues to be considered in terms of legislating festivals and live gigs - perhaps along the lines of different demographics at different festivals and shows - but simply "cracking down" by wasting police resources and upping the fines for being caught with drugs is an absolute slap in the face to the Aussie music industry. Particularly to younger punters and young musicians in the industry, trying to cut their teeth on small to big festivals. This needs to change.
13.01.2022 Super keen to see these lads play Manning Bar when they get into Sydney, tour kicks off TONIGHT. Check out our chat with frontman and good bloke Evil Eddie on the pod's latest episode here: https://soundcloud.com//celebrating-milestones-and-relatab
13.01.2022 Heading over to Qudos Bank Arena to have a chat to vocalist Tommy Vext about all things Bad Wolves, touring with Nickelback and... haven't really set the agenda much past that. Keen to just have a good long chat and let it go where it may.
13.01.2022 'God help me now', this new RedHook banger is a shot to the vein. Emmy Mack's vocals are so versatile, and that low intro gave me chills listening to it. No surprise at all these guys are headed to Download Festival in the UK this year, well done
13.01.2022 Hey guys! April was a pretty hectic month for both of us, but stoked to announce that we're releasing a fresh episode tomorrow - with a twist. Gear up for one hell of a catchup... (and some tunes from LPX, RedHook and Snail Mail). #gapodcast #australianmusic #genandaless #GA2019 #backtobasics Gen & Aless x
13.01.2022 Huge congrats to our good mates Mick and Lauren who took this competition out. Amazing album, amazing work <3
13.01.2022 Today calls for just a biiit of celebration of all of the wonderful people we've met through the pod. Since it's our one year anniversary, we've picked a track from each band/artist, most of which they talked us through themselves as their personal faves at the time. Enjoy <3 'Happy 1 Year GA Family': https://open.spotify.com//u6pz67qzrlwsmw6umsdaq9509/playli
12.01.2022 Such a great feeling seeing the momentum our good mates in Sydney post-hardcore band Weight Of The World have been getting. From 'Sleepless Nights / Endless Fights' getting some triple j Unearthed love to experiencing the raucous reactions of fans at their recent gigs... It's all been happening. I decided to crash one of their band pracs at RedRock Studios one night to chat all about the production hurdles and rewarding moments of recording debut EP 'Judgement', each of the five guys' goals for 2019, and the melting pot of influences making up WOTW. Check out the first of a string of shows hitting April, kicking of this Friday at The Valve Bar <3
12.01.2022 These last two shows with founding guitarist Nic will certainly be ones to remember <3 We'll certainly miss you, but the door's never shut completely. Newie and Radelaide, grab your tix.
11.01.2022 You will be missed Nic <3

10.01.2022 Whooo way to go Em <3 <3 Fantastic achievement #InternationalWomensDay
10.01.2022 Had an awesome time with our good mates in Weight Of The World at The Hideaway Bar last night, alongside The Salty Tenders, Await a Guardian, Guardian and Infinite Illusion. Took some snaps of the night, along with a video in the comments section of vocalist Skye from AAG joining WOTW for a Beartooth cover. (Totally didn't spy her singing all the words at the back of the bar..).
09.01.2022 Absolutely gorgeous. Soul baring in its rawest form <3
09.01.2022 Stoked to celebrate joint milestones on our latest episode of the pod, dropping this morning! During our chat last week, we welcomed Evil Eddie from Brissie hip hop group Butterfingers to the GA fam - while we're celebrating turning one, these guys are toasting to their debut record - and an important release all round - 'Breakfast at Fatboys' turning FIFTEEN. Mad achievement. 08.01.2022 On the way to The Factory Theatre to have some chats at the 2019 edition of PROGFEST, and damn I'm buzzing. So many bands I hadn't heard/haven't seen live before. Particularly keen for RED BEE, #Shanghai, SNVFF, Hemina, CIRCLES + MONUMENTS. Let's get boundary bending. #GAGoesToProgfest2019
07.01.2022 Fantastic to see Mojo Juju on the Bluesfest lineup for this year. Her music gives me goddamn goosebumps. Watch the clip for her song 'Native Tongue', spearheaded by the incredibly talented Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore <3 https://youtu.be/JLQ4by3lUJo

06.01.2022 You will be missed Elton. You wrote more than a few songs that're close to my and my family's hearts, shall be heading along to this one. Not to be missed <3
06.01.2022 Whooo exciting stuff from our home boys in Caravãna Sun - gonna be bringing their surf rock goodness (and all round good attitudes) across 10 Haus Party dates. Kicks off next month! Spinning some 2018 content from back when the guys joined the GA fam in June, revisit with us below: soundcloud.com//episode-17-finding-beauty-in-pain-with-car
06.01.2022 Great point raised about tour promoters often not being able to control relationships between venues and ticketers, and that being where a huge part of ticket scalping lies. It's such a multi-faceted issue that should be tackled with all stakeholders in mind. While scalping's not something that can be fixed overnight, understanding more than one angle is key to reducing it.
06.01.2022 Melbourne, you're in for a huge treat today at Download Festival Australia - be sure to mosh with others in mind and stick up for each other out there. Here's our review of Download Festival Sydney, ft. the pyrotechnics during Judas Priest and Thy Art Is Murder, Slayer's Tom Araya walking alone onstage to end the fest, and a chick catching a beer one-handed after Joel from Airbourne threw them out into the crowd: https://www.general-admission.net//loading-sydney-s-first-
06.01.2022 'Twas a prog-nominal day yesterday. The creativity, chats and drinks were flowing, and I don't think I've seen people smile quite so much at a smaller but packed out fest. Special podcast episode ft. chats with MONUMENTS, The Ocean Collective, CIRCLES, Chaos Divine, SEIMS, SNVFF, Hemina, Skyharbor, RED BEE + Opus of a Machine out tomorrow!
05.01.2022 Heavily vibing on this track! Great work Jayden, and awesome chatting to you this week! Interview out soon... #generaladmission #gapodcast #jaydenmcgrath #conditions #melbournemusic #happyreleaseday #fridayfeels
05.01.2022 Before the release of debut album 'Supergiant' in Australia in June, we welcomed the lovely Natalie Carol, vocalist of LA indie rockers Valley Queen, to the GA family. Nat originally lived in Arkansas, and she takes us through finding her calling as a musician in LA after being surrounded by the medical and art worlds, the myth-making at the heart of songwriting and music recs from her friends in Cosmo Gold to tour mates The Wild Reeds. 03.01.2022 Stumbled on this killer little coffee bar in Marrickville called Voodoo ESP, with a pretty pumpin' playlist. Great strong coffee, soul-dripping tunes & awesome front of house. Could be a backdrop for our next pod episode?

02.01.2022 Can't get Swiss progressive trio Cellar Darling and their new concept record 'The Spell' out of my head. Thanks Anna Murphy for another great catch-up - it's often around a year in between chats, but we always pick up right where we left off Check out the conversation below, which sees us delve into hiking, the fascinating character of Death in 'The Spell', and being an audiobook narrator for the first time...
02.01.2022 It wouldn't be right for such a significant festival to be pushed out of NSW because of poor legislation. The government have been trying the same approach to stop deaths at festivals with pretty limited results, it's time for change NSW Government.
02.01.2022 Happy Friday and #InternationalWomensDay! Big shoutout to some of the females in music who inspire us every day. For me Joan from Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and formerly The Runaways, Lizzy from LPX + MS MR, Lzzy Hale, Alison from The Kills, Amy Lee and Michelle Grace Hunder : Photographer. 01.01.2022 It's time for a new GA episode, harking back to when Aless and I would just sit and talk about life and music. Two mics, at the Parramatta studio where it all began. In the first monthly catchup and going back to basics, we catch up on personal life transitions, music picks from Snail Mail to RedHook, and where the podcast's headed... #gapodcast #sydney #australianmusic #genandaless #GA2019
01.01.2022 Fantastic achievement. Sustainable touring makes a HUGE difference to the carbon footprint, and fests like this help galvanise progress in reversing human impacts to our planet <3 Congrats Kelsie Miller
