Avil has worked in almost every room in every capacity and is currently helping out in the Kitchen, preparing all our yummy meals!! Avil has his Diploma in Children’s Services which he gained in 2015. Avil has 3 boys of his own, who have also attended the centre, so has first hand knowledge of supporting little minds!... 12.01.2022 Cooking class with Chef Izen today started with the children drawing a variety of fruits. The children then had the opportunity to cut the fruit and butter their crumptets before enjoying morning tea. Promoting daily independence in children is a core value at Genius.

08.01.2022 CCS Update To support families, the Federal Government have provided temporary changes to the CCS activity test, for up to 12 weeks from 13 July to 4 October 2020. During this period, families can access up to 100 hours of subsidised early learning (childcare), per child, per fortnight where they now have a reduced number of hours of work, training, study or other recognised activity, compared to their activity level prior to COVID-19 by updating their activity test levels with Centrelink. 03.01.2022 Our Nutritional Ninja program emphasises the importance of healthy food, including whole foods, simple unprocessed produce and encourages nourishing nutrition for children’s well-being. Our aim is to enable children to grow into healthy adults with strong food values and a healthy relationship with food for life. As part of this program we are going to explore a different fruit or vegetable each month to introduce a variety of different, whole foods to the children. Our fruit for this month is Lemons This week we are going to focus on what the lemons look and feel like; are they soft, hard, smooth or rough? Did you know that lemons are rich in vitamin C and are a hybrid between a sour orange and a citron?!
