24.01.2022 COVID19 - Treatments cancelled until further notice In light of the current Department of Health social distancing guidelines, Association of Massage Therapists has strongly urged its members to cease treating clients for an initial period of 2 weeks. I agree that massage therapists have a disproportionately massive role to play in managing the spread of the virus due to the proximity that the job requires. I have therefore decided follow the advice of my Association and will... close my doors temporarily until the threat subsides or I have direction it is safe to begin treating again. As a health practitioner, I have a duty of care to help stem the spread of the virus. I take this responsibility seriously and have made this tough decision to show my solidarity and support for frontline primary health carers who will have far tougher decisions than me to make in the coming weeks. I apologise to those who are immediately impacted and will contact you directly. But rest assured, I am doing this because I care.
