23.01.2022 S E L F S A B O T A G E We had a great discussion about the topic of self-sabotage the other night in our challenge facebook group. We can all easily identify areas where we might see the behaviours of self-sabotage, but our focus was practical solutions to break the habits that are standing between us and our personal goals!... One of the powerful strategies was to reduce the mental clutter that we may be experiencing. Whether it is a generally stressful time, you are managing working from home, home-schooling, the news, or simply this new 'normal' we have all had to adjust to, it can create mental 'clutter' without us even knowing it. Getting this mental clutter out of our heads and onto paper can help us identify what is actually important to focus on PLUS allow us to make more space and energy to prioritise these things. I would love to hear your personal solutions for when you feel yourself slipping into self-sabotage... Let's hear them!

21.01.2022 E N D O R P H I N S Let's shake up our friday and do something different - something to get our endorphin hormones flowing! Endorphins act on the opiate receptors in our brains, they reduce pain and boost pleasure, resulting in a feeling of well-being. So how do we get these feel-good hormones flowing?... A few things to try... EXERCISE This could be a walk around the park or even choosing a random youtube clip to get yourself moving. PUMP YOUR FAVOURITE TUNES Music is amazing to change your state and your mood. MEDITATE Maybe you are at a point where finding 5 minutes of stillness would make you feel reconnected and grounded. GIVE & CONTRIBUTE TO OTHERS Sometimes finding it within ourselves to reach out and cheer someone else up can help us feel better in ourselves. By now, you probably find you are getting into an iso routine that may feel repetative and not the most motivating... 19.01.2022 P R O G R E S S I am sure I am not the only one that gets confused with what day it is, what week of quarantine we are up to, and when life could possibly go back to 'normal' The real key for myself and what we have been helping our clients with is creating some structure and healthy routine amongst this unusual time. With structure and routine, comes a feeling of progression. We need this feeling as humans as it helps to contribute to our happiness. ... 05.01.2022 I N P U T This is another friendly reminder to be mindful of your input today... Maybe it's time to turn the TV or the radio off. Today might require a little social media detox maybe? When you are listening to these things or reading certain forms of media - if it's not helping your current state, get the infrmation you need to be informed and then put it aside for a while. ... Head outside and get some fresh air and vitamin D. Make yourself something fresh and tasty for lunch. Call a friend and check in with how they are. Listen to your favourite podcast or playlist. 05.01.2022 G A P S What are you reaching for in the gaps of your day? Are you filling those gaps with more and more caffeine? Sugary snacks? Or not eating at all?... For optimum energy and wellness, the goal is to feed your body the nutrients that it needs over the course of the entire day... We are looking for consistency with balanced nutrients at the right time. If we only rely on caffeine and sugar - the 3pm crash (and the 9pm cravings) will be inevitable. 02.01.2022 F O C U S When your focus goes your energy flows. This is so important with lots going on around us right now. What did you think about as soon as you woke up this morning? Worrying about the day? Things to get done? Often we can start the day on the back foot without even conciously realising it.... Let's shift our focus for the rest of the day to what we CAN do in any scenario that may be causing us stress, what we can appreciate & be grateful for, and finally how we hold ourselves as good humans along the way. Don't let distractions through you off course from living this great day. Happy wednesday!
