16.01.2022 SPECTATORS The GHA will be allowing spectators to games from this Thursday onwards, provided the below conditions are adhered to as per correspondence received from HockeyWA: Because the GHA has defined areas you can manage things so that you can have up to 150 people in the venue (no more than 100 in any one area), the areas at your venue could be as follows:... Bar/Main clubroom area Grandstand Playing surface Warm up area (out the back) Officials and coaches on the playing surface are not included and you can conduct your activities as per normal as long as you have no more than 100 in any area and have hygiene and social distancing measures in place. Please ensure all food and alcohol consumption is to be seated.

05.01.2022 We are pleased to see our can cages getting used around town. Last week, we delivered one of our can cages to the Geraldton Hockey Club for fundraising purposes.... It's great to see the cage already filled with ali cans. If you have any spare ali cans lying around you can drop them off to this cage, and help the Hockey Club raise their money faster. 04.01.2022 On Friday evening we had two girls from AIS Nicola Hammond and Carly James who came and did a Hockey session with some of our young Talented Athletes. A big Thank you to Darren Winterbine from MWAS and Hayley McGlynn from Hockey WA who was able to get in contact with these two girls and ask to do the session. This was a great opportunity for the Athletes. Due to other sports on the same evening some of our selected Athletes were unable to attend.

The committee will report to the head of participations and will steer the development and upskilling of umpires at the GHA. 01.01.2022 LIGHTNING! You may have noticed the North-West light tower (Tower 6) at the stadium is not working. Unfortunately we were unlucky enough that it was hit by lightning and has been internally damaged. Repairs are being organised, but it looks to be a lengthy process. The GHA Facilities team apologises and we will be working hard to get Tower 6 up and running again. In the mean time we will utilise the portable tower on site at present. It will be repositioned to find the best spot for it and hopefully provide us with adequate lighting to enjoy the hockey
