25.01.2022 In celebration of World Fire Fighters Day. This prayer is traditionally read at Firefighter Memorial Services, which is usually held on a Sunday nearest to International Firefighters' Day. These words are a fitting tribute to those who have embodied what it truly means to be a firefighter, to risk their lives for the safety of others.... Today, we honour those individuals who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

12.01.2022 A reminder to our community regarding the SLOMO rule. When you are approaching or passing a stationary response vehicle (police, ambulance, fire or breakdown ...service vehicle). You are required to slow down to a speed NOT exceeding 40km/h, when travelling in the same direction or move across and give a lane clearance. $300.00 fine and 3 demerit points for failure to comply.

11.01.2022 Combined Geraldton VFRS & CFRS Hazmat training drill last night on Gero CFRS station. VFRS were turned out and responded as the first arriving appliance. The drill was left to evolve and escalate as a real time incident. CFRS provided mentoring and Gas Tight Suit dressing demonstration (blue suit). This was followed by an exercise debrief. It was an excellent learning experience with an awesome effort by all involved.

11.01.2022 Thank you very much to the Wintersun Hotel for their kind donation to the brigade today . Pretty quiet this morning when we were there early this morning , but get down for a family meal and support a great local business.

09.01.2022 In 2019, 476 residential structure fires occurred in Western Australia, many of which could have been prevented. As house fires are more common during winter, with the most common cause being unattended heat sources, now is the time to take actions to reduce the risk of fire in the home.
