12.01.2022 BLUE MOUNTAINS BANANA BREAD This super moist plant-based, gluten, egg and dairy free recipe will be your go-to banana bread! So don't let those ripe bananas go to waste! INGREDIENTS 4 ripe bananas (the ones with brown spots)... 1 cup all-purpose gluten free flour 1/2 cup of almond flour 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda a pinch of nutmeg 1 teaspoon of cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract a pinch of Himalayan pink salt 1/3 cup coconut sugar 1/4 cup raw coconut oil, melted 4 tablespoons of walnut pieces INSTRUCTIONS 1 Start by preheating the oven to 350F, oiling the loaf pan (I like to use vegan butter or coconut oil. 2 In a medium bowl, sift together your flours, baking powder, baking soda, coconut sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt and set aside. 3 In a separate bowl, mash the bananas. Make sure not to leave any big chunks. Small chunks are fine though. 4 Add the vanilla extract and coconut oil to the bananas and mix until evenly combined. 5 Once the oil and sugar are incorporated, gently fold in the dry ingredients just enough for everything to come together. 6 Now, gently fold in your walnut pieces or other add-ins. 7 Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. 8 Bake at 350F for 50-60 minutes for 8x4-inch regular loaf. Test the bread with a toothpick for doneness. It will come out clean when the bread is ready. The vitamins, minerals and antioxidants are absorbed from eating fruit regardless of the time it’s eaten or whether on an empty stomach or not. ... The nutritional value of fruit is the same regardless of when you eat it. Only people with diabetes have to be careful about which fruits they eat, when, and how often. The glycemic index (GI), a measure of how fast carbohydrate foods, including fruits, are converted in the body to blood glucose, you’ll see that there are big differences among fruits - particularly between tropical fruit and temperate fruit. I recommend mainly choosing fruit that ranks low on the glycemic index (a score of 55 or less) if you are concerned about your blood glucose levels. Just 10 minutes of meditation has been scientifically shown to reduce stress levels, lower blood pressure, improve concentration, and increase feelings of happiness throughout the day. Meditation changes our brain waves - electromagnetic energy produced when neurons in the brain communicate. * Alpha Waves most commonl...y occur at the start of meditation as you begin to enter a deeper state of mind. They calm the nervous system. Alpha Waves lower the production of stress hormones and promote relaxation. * Beta Waves are active when the brain is working on goal oriented tasks.
