23.01.2022 Wishing you hope and peace this Christmas from all at the Geurie Union Church The little message below is courtesy of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church at Wentworth Falls. 'Jesus does not leave us in our mess, ... He enters our world to weep with us, to share hardship with us and lead us to hope, to comfort, to freedom. In Jesus, God weeps with us and calls us to follow Him out of the tomb into the light of eternal hope. That is the message of Christmas'. See more

10.01.2022 The before and after photos We always have a nice morning making the ANZAC wreaths with a lovely bunch of ladies. The wreaths are made with flowers and greenery from gardens around Geurie - we never quite know what we are going to have to work with from year to year and we are always keen to try new and unusual ideas to make the most of the colour we can find (check out Judy Harper's spectacular purple toned wreath featuring an ornamental cabbage! ).... Each wreath is as individual as the person who made it

For almost 60 years the Geurie Union Church and Geurie Lions Club have been partners in organising this event. Many thanks to all those involved in the planning of the event and volunteering on the night.

04.01.2022 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting for Federal Election 28 April 18 May 2019 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face..., and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 Join together with Christian leaders and churches of all denominations from all over Australia as we Pray and Fast for 21 days up to the Federal Election, Saturday 18 May 2019. This prayer call was inspired by Ps Margaret Court’s love for Australia, her passion for the church to arise and be a strong voice for righteousness, truth and justice and her love for the word of God which says that, Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34. Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that you are the LORD God, and that you have turned their heart back to you again. 1 Kings 18:37 1. Pray that God would rule over this election that righteous leaders would be elected to govern this nation in truth and justice because, When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice. Proverbs 29:2 2. Pray God’s blessing upon all our current parliamentarians and leaders, including their families and all the candidates of all the parties standing for this federal election. 1 Timothy 2:1-3 3. Pray for a multiplication of prayer and unity across the Body of Christ in Australia that people will wake up to the dangers facing our nation and respond in prayer. Ephesians 5:14 4. Pray for a Spiritual Awakening for Australia, Revival and Transformation for our nation and the proclamation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. John 3:16 And now I pray, let the power of my Lord be great, just as You have spoken The Lord is long suffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving the iniquity and transgression (of the nation) Pardon the iniquity of this people I pray, according to the greatness of your mercy Then God said, ‘I have pardoned according to your word’. 01.01.2022 Whilst we very much missed having our normal social morning nattering whilst making ANZAC wreaths this year, we were still able to complete a smaller number of wreaths (individually at home) for the Geurie memorial. Geurie gardens have provided some lovely colour once again! #lestweforget
