25.01.2022 A wrap for three of our young players who have recently been in the WAFL Futures competition. Tyrel Dewar Jack Gouge and Tyzreise Clark. Jack picked up the Most Consistent and Tyzreise Runner Up F&B. Coach Stuart Page gave is a rundown of Tyzreise and Jack. The 2020 WAFL Futures Competition was a massive success for the Subiaco Football Club. An integral part of the program was the significant contribution from our Regional zone, that saw 7 GFL players and 2 Esperance p...layers representing the club. The influence on these players from the Lions Pride Academy cannot be underestimated, as all of the players became vital components of the team each week. Subiaco Football Club greatly appreciates the work put into these players at the regional level and we look forward to them becoming integral members of Subiaco in the coming years. Two players from this group have been selected in the State 16’s Program; Jack Gouge Jack is a footballers footballer, and simply does everything right. His greatest attributes are his work rate, hardness at the contest, and his willingness to compete. His skills are very good and he makes smart football decisions. He is a mature young man and a natural leader, and this resulted in Jack being Captain for our last 2 games. Tyzreise Clark. Ty is an explosive footballer, and an excitement machine. He possesses great athletic ability, and uses this to impact games when the pressure is on. In Futures games goals are critical, and Ty could not be matched by any defender in the league and this resulted in many bags of quick goals. The great thing with Ty, is that he is also team orientated and takes Team First options when forward. His overhead marking is a highlight and the exciting thing is, he will also be eligible for the State 16’s next year. Stuart Page Subiaco Football Club Futures Coach

04.01.2022 First up we would like to say thank you to our footy community for your patience and support. It was a weekend where a ball was bounced for a game for the first time on our grounds. For our juniors today, what a day. Thank you to all parents, clubs and supporters for your patience. 2020 has delivered more in 6 months than we could ever imagine. We had to make tough decisions for the survival of all clubs and the league beyond 2020. Whilst they may not have been the most pop...ular decision, they have been made for a sustainable future beyond what a pandemic could throw to us. We had an Under 19’s scratch match and a great Women’s game yesterday, followed by our first round of GFL Juniors today. This is outstanding and we we will see the return of our Auskick program very soon - which we are running with the support of a generous sponsor for free in 2020 and will continue into 2021.
