25.01.2022 #Membermondays with @jeet.sd06 What did you miss the most about G-Force during the shut down period? The G-force community and the support that you get from people around you. G-Force has such a vibrant community vibe about it that once you experience it you just keep coming back. Most people hang around the gym even after a workout - whether to catch up or to add some additional accessory work or in most cases cheer the next group on. ... Whats your favourite thing about CrossFit? CrossFit I feel is more of a mental challenge than a physical one. The workouts are tough,some days it is designed to bring you down on your knees no matter how fit you are. But its all about getting back up, taking a breath and giving it another go to finish the workout and everyday you get better at it by small margins. I felt this approach is an analogy to our daily life itself. Its one of the best things that I discovered and I am very proud to be part of the Crossfit community at G-Force. Describe why the G-force community and our coaches are so important to people's success. I read this quote about CrossFit before joining G-Force- "CrossFit - The only sport where the last to finish gets the loudest cheer' As a novice who started approx a year ago, I personally have experienced this every day at G-Force. Whether I am running the last lap struggling for my breath, or struggling to finish the burpees the guys/girls who finished first come back and start to workout with me again and support me all the way in. I have worked out at multiple gyms across the world but I have never seen this community spirit anywhere yet. CrossFit is a journey and I am very lucky that I have the community at G-Force supporting me throughout this journey. Glen, Christina, Alex, Conrad and Loz - No matter who is coaching you, they always tune the workout as per your individual fitness and capacity. They have a keen eye for details and look for those small corrections that goes a long way in improving your overall ability. They always ensure that no matter what, people are still laughing and smiling in the gym. I think over a period of time, the physical coaching evolves into a life coaching as well. @ G-Force CrossFit

24.01.2022 #MemberMondays with @sheriwill Why did you decide to join G-Force? I joined G-Force because of Angus. He had been at Gforce for 2 years and he was encouraging me for a while to join. I also hadn't found a gym that I really liked so I finally decided to bite the bullet.... What's one goal you have achieved since joining G-Force? Definitely hitting 100kg backsquat! I never thought I would be able to squat anything close to that so I was extremely happy when I hit that weight. What movement do you want to improve on? Handstand walks and butterfly pull ups!



23.01.2022 You have seen them before but not in competition mode. 3 workouts over 3 weeks testing lots of different areas of fitness & strength- November Trio. Jake (right) won the scaled division and Maggie (left) won the RX division. There were a total of 18 competitors 8+ years. We are proud of all our Juniors involved and look forward to seeing how they go worldwide in the Cub Games in February 2021.

19.01.2022 #MemberMondays with Graeme! Whats your favourite movement to perform? The snatch. It looks simple but theres multiple things to try and think about, which makes it quite technical. When everything does all flow, it feels great and relatively easyshame its not like that every time!... Whats one challenge youve overcome at G-Force? Flexibility (otherwise called mobility). When I started I had good strength but wasnt flexible enough to be able to do all the movements properly. Over time and with some extra stretching Im now way more flexible than when I started and I can perform every CrossFit movement fully. Why do you enjoy training at G-Force? After a busy day of work and with the kids, my head might be cloudy or I might be feeling a bit stressed. When Im at G-Force all that goes away and I walk out feeling refreshed and energised. Its like hitting the reset button. Youre around positive friendly people, the music is pumping, youre working up a sweat, youre all in it together. Its a great getaway for an hour and you come out feeling better than when you went in. What is your advice for someone thinking about starting? Do it! All you need to do is turn up and then it happens. Before you know it youll be doing things youve never done before and youll be in the best shape of your life. There are people of all ages and all skill/fitness levels, plus there are variations of every movement depending on what level youre at, so theres nothing to be intimidated about. Its just a matter of turning upyoull love it!

Her passion and enthusiasm has seen the new program grow in numbers and produce strong young athletes. What inspired you to become a CrossFit Coach?... I wish it had been around when I was growing up! I could see it filled the gaps in the fitness industry and it really works, particularly on a movement restorative and capacity and cellular level. I wanted to be able to help all age groups on a CrossFit program and educate them on its benefits. Why do you believe its important for kids to try CrossFit? It teaches them foundational and functional movements they are going to have to do for the rest of their life. What do you love about working with children? They listen. But most of all they learn so quickly and habits can be changed almost overnight. What would you say to anyone wanting to give CrossFit a try? There are only gains in support, accountability, personal bests and community that comes with CrossFit.

I decided to join G-Force because I was recommended to the gym by a friend and decided to try it out.... What keeps you motivated during a workout? When doing a workout I am motivated by the rest of the group, I have gained confidence and different life lessons from G-Force and this keeps me motivated as I know that the people I train with have my back. Being pushed by the coaches to never stop is what keeps me going through a tough workout. Whats one goal you want to reach by the end of this year? I want to hit a 120kg back squat and a 120kg deadlift.

How friendly everyone is, I know most gyms will claim they have a good community but the others I have been too were nothing like G-Force. Everyone is super nice and very encouraging of each others goals.... Why did you decide to become a coach? CrossFit has become a passion of mine from the first session I did at G-Force. I love the person its made me, so when the opportunity came up to help people improve themselves I couldnt pass it up. What do you love most about G-Force? The work ethic of the people there. CrossFit is hard and the fact our people are willing to do hard things regularly says a lot about the kind of person they are.

"There are countless highlights of being a coach. But I guess one that really stands out would be watching people grow not just physically, but mentally. Being able to be a part of someone's growth not only makes me motivated, but is one of the most fulfilling feelings. My advice to someone wanting to start CrossFit would be patience and consistency! 03.01.2022 #MemberMondays with our powerhouse Ramon! Ramon has been training at G-Force since February and within that time he has improved strength for strength. He’s known for always giving 100% and his determination Why did you decide to join G-Force? I Joined G-Force because I wanted a new challenge when it came to fitness. I wanted to give CrossFit a go and see what it’s all about. I knew it would be a challenge with learning new moves and incorporating gymnastics and Olympic lif...ting which I was excited to learn. Angel joined before me and loved it and since then I have the bug. What’s your three favorite movements? I enjoy squat cleans, muscle ups and deadlifts. How has G-Force helped you improve as an athlete? G-Force has helped me in so many ways with my fitness and my personal life. Firstly Glen and his team of coaches are amazing. They are great and always know what to say to improve. The people that I have met at the gym have all been amazing and its a good feeling when you can have a laugh, mingle and have a good session together. Lastly, I have been able to perform movements I have always dreamed of doing but never had the correct guidance or confidence to do them. Most of my goals have been achieved, all within less than a year at G-Force and that wouldn’t of happened if I never joined. Can’t wait for what the future holds for me at G-Force and I look forward to smashing more goals.
