23.01.2022 100 years ago, in October 1920 more than 100 people assembled in Toowong Cemetery in the pouring rain to see the entombment of one of the most powerful and influential figures in Queensland - Walter Vardon Ralston. Those present included judges, lawyers, the general managers of virtually every bank and financial institution, as well as the Lord Mayor of Brisbane. This historical event is covered in our Toowong Cemetery Ghost Tour every Friday and Saturday evening from 7:30pm - 9:30pm.

04.01.2022 On this day in 1913, Ernest Austin was executed. He was last man hanged in Queensland. The original gallows beam is exhibited at Boggo Road Gaol (Jail) in the same cell block where Austin was imprisoned.
