25.01.2022 There's a Council meeting tonight! Councillors will be meeting in person, and the meeting will be broadcast live from 5:30PM. Did you know that you are able to attend Council meetings in person again? Seating is limited so get in early.... Otherwise, watch the meeting LIVE below: https://www.portstephens.nsw.gov.au/council-webc/webcasting

24.01.2022 Disappointing decision. I will always stand with our community.

21.01.2022 : After working hard for the last six months to change our debt recovery & hardship policy to give options for people who are struggling paying their rates, a change is being exhibited that will allow Council to work with local charities and help those who need it most. Especially during COVID this is so, so important. : Somehow Council's travel budget increased by $500,000 in the last financial year, despite travel coming to a standstill due to COVID for... half the year.... : Council has recorded its first deficit in nearly 10 years. However, it was only a small deficit, and considering the impact of COVID, we've done really well to be in the budget position we are in. Thanks to the Port Stephens Examiner for reviewing Council meetings and keeping our community informed.

19.01.2022 Power is currently out to homes and businesses in Eagleton, East Seaham, Ferodale, Medowie, Raymond Terrace and Twelve Mile Creek. An emergency crew is working to safely restore power. For more information, visit: www.ausgrid.com.au/poweroutages

19.01.2022 Have you spotted any of our fluffy friends in this area? Get in touch with the team trying to save our local koalas.

18.01.2022 It’s Jacaranda time!

16.01.2022 Don’t forget to book in for Council’s green waste drop off days

15.01.2022 We've been finding it hard to put into words how important Captain Dennis Peters has been to our station and our community for the last 23 years. Dennis has bee...n there for our whole community at every hour of the day on every day of the year, be it weekends, the middle of the night, or a public holiday. He's trained many, many firefighters, guided them on their firefighting journey, and everyone under his command has learned lots and been the best firefighter they possibly can be. We're sad to see Dennis making the decision to retire. We celebrate the work that he's done to improve fire safety in our community, working with the elderly, young people and everyone in between. We know that Dennis will continue to contribute to the Raymond Terrace community for many years to come. Dennis, enjoy your nights without fire calls, and know you'll always be welcomed with open arms to the station. From all of us here at Raymond Terrace Fire Station, thank you for your decades of work, service and dedication. It has made a massive difference to many lives. Fire and Rescue NSW

14.01.2022 Calling all movie lovers! Here's your chance to watch some of the best Australian and international film festival favourites in Raymond Terrace this week.

14.01.2022 We are truly at a point where there's little reason to even participate in community consultation undertaken by Port Stephens Council. The way that this Council and Councillors ignore our community's input is shocking. I will always listen to the community. My decision-making will always be in the best interests of the community. Can you say the same about your representative on Council?

14.01.2022 There's a number of local workplaces hiring at the moment! Lakeside Village Tavern and the Junction Inn are both looking for staff. Know any other local places hiring? Chuck it in the comments and share this post - let's help locals get local jobs

10.01.2022 Do you love the purple? Did you know the history of Jacaranda Avenue?

09.01.2022 While the NSW Government is busy imploding over allegations at ICAC, communities like ours continue to suffer at the hands of unfulfilled promises and ridiculous delays. Thanks to Kate Washington MP for always standing up for our community.

08.01.2022 Struggling for weekend plans?

05.01.2022 Thank you to the team from the Raymond Terrace RSL for their efforts to allow for a Remembrance Day service to occur this year. It was an honour to represent Port Stephens Council and Kate Washington MP at today’s event. Lest we forget.

05.01.2022 We have created a draft Public Domain Plan for Raymond Terrace a 20 year vision for how we'll create better public spaces for our community. Now we need your ...help to make sure we're heading in the right direction. You can have your say at our pop up stand on William Street, Raymond Terrace on Wednesday 18 November from 11am to 2pm or via our survey. To check out the draft Public Domain Plan and take the survey visit https://bit.ly/RaymondTerracePublicDomainPlan

03.01.2022 Every single holiday period, locals in Anna Bay are up in arms because the Council has completely failed to plan for and accommodate the massive influx of visitors to the area. It's frustrating to see the locals struggling to convince Council that being unable to leave their own driveways is a bit of a problem.

03.01.2022 - A number of roads in Medowie are heavily affected by water - Medowie Road at Williamtown is closed - Newcastle Airport is closed - The Myall Way near Tea Gard...ens is closed - NSW SES - Port Stephens Unit is open to those looking for sandbags. Just take a shovel. The Raymond Terrace unit has sand and bags available. Let us know in the comment section which roads throughout Port Stephens are under water for others to avoid (please do not type while driving). Stay safe out there!

01.01.2022 The people of NSW deserve the truth. #ICAC https://www.smh.com.au//icac-inquiry-live-updates-gladys-b
