15.01.2022 Jeffrey is doing very well! He now has a little girlfriend called Lonie. She has had a bit of a battle as she had pneumonia but seems pretty well now thanks to ...the wonderful staff at RSPCA (Wacol) They love to play together and give we carers so much entertainment! Both are eating well so along with Thelma and Louise, they are keeping the leaf cutters busy! See more

07.01.2022 TOUR BLOG 18/7/2020 Traveling during COVID lockdown. This was never going to be easy. This is the sketchiest tour Ive ever done.... The spirit of Tasmania was completely different. Every spare door or walk way blocked off with safety tape. Walking around the boat totally restricted. the vibe of fear lingering under the lounge of every person on board. the smell of sanitiser permeating the air. Only a handful of people on board, no high fives this time. We disembark early in the morning and i didnt touch any part of Melbourne at all. You could say i was avoiding it like the plague. With a full tank of petrol i pounded the highway all the way to the giant Demonic koala near horsham. We took photos and coffee, loaded up supplies and got to the state line. the cops were heavy and scared. there were a few issues with me traveling across the border. I had to agree to quarantine at my uncles house in order the enter the state. I can pretty much guarantee i dont have COVID, but If im found outside my uncles premises by the police while i am in the state, I will be prosecuted. I guess Im about as illegal as ever. So Ill stay a few days but the plan is to give to police a ring when i am ready to leave and take the option that you can break quarantine to exit the state. Ill be over the border again in less than a week. And off to respectfully visit the crooked natural pyramid of this red blooded land. Uluru Until we can all grow up big and strange, RR. #whoisrubenreeves #onemanband #travel #southaustralia #spiritoftasmania #covid19 #tour #sketchy #southeast #erections #fun #outdoors @ Giant Koala

05.01.2022 Written by a nurse who works with ventilators: For people who dont understand what it means to be on a ventilator but want to take the chance of lockdown bein...g lifted.... For starters, its NOT an oxygen mask put over the mouth while the patient is comfortably lying down and reading magazines. Ventilation for Covid-19 is a painful intubation that goes down your throat and stays there until you live or you die. It is done under anesthesia for 2 to 3 weeks without moving, often upside down, with a tube inserted from the mouth up to the trachea and allows you to breathe to the rhythm of the lung machine. The patient cant talk or eat, or do anything naturally - the machine keeps you alive. The discomfort and pain they feel from this means medical experts have to administer sedatives and painkillers to ensure tube tolerance for as long as the machine is needed. Its like being in an artificial coma. Add a tube into your stomach, either through your nose or skin for liquid food, a sticky bag around your butt to collect the diarrhea, a foley to collect urine, an IV for fluids and meds, an A-line f to monitor your BP that is completely dependent upon finely calculated med doses, teams of nurses, CRNAs and MAs to reposition your limbs every two hours and lying on a mat that circulates ice cold fluid to help bring down your 104 degree temp. After 20 days from this treatment, a young patient loses 40% muscle mass, and gets mouth or vocal cords trauma, as well as possible pulmonary or heart complications. It is for this reason that old or already weak people cant withstand the treatment and die. Many of us are in this boat ... so stay safe unless you want to take the chance of ending up here. This is NOT the flu. Anyone want to try all that out? Stay home. Stay safe and well!
