24.01.2022 Last chance to buy sweet and juicy oranges from Gibbs Creek Grove this Saturday. Whilst their citrus season has come to an end they will back in March with their amazing farm direct mangoes.
21.01.2022 The mangoes are a couple of weeks later this year, we should kick off towards the end of March
21.01.2022 Weve only got enough mandies left for one market this weekend. You will find them at @mtclaremontfarmersmarket tomorrow. Dad will be back in the Mt C stall this week too, with plenty of Seville oranges and ready to talk all things marmalade
21.01.2022 We’re Back! Dear Mount Claremont Farmers’ Market Stallholders, Patrons and Volunteers Firstly, a whole-hearted and sincere thanks to all our loyal stallholder...s and patrons for your patience over the past months, particularly in the past few weeks when we have seen WA state government COVID restrictions progressively being lifted. We understand this has had a real impact to stallholder trade and the local community who shop at the Market, so again we sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding. As of last Saturday the 6th of June, the Education Department increased the number of people allowed on a school site outside of school hours from 20 to 300 (this includes stallholders, volunteers and patrons at any one time). We are confident we can safely operate the Market in compliance with this rule and subject to our COVID Safe Plan being accepted, we are very excited and relieved to announce our reopening date as Saturday 27th June. We will provide further details next week which will include measures to encourage turnaround of shoppers and car parking management to comply with total numbers on the site, along with the usual reminders about 1.5m social distancing and other hygiene measures. We thank those stallholders who have replied to us in the past couple of weeks with their intention to resume trading. We would not carry our great reputation for being a local school P&C operated, authentic and high quality farmers’ market that is well supported by the local community without you. Regular updates for our re-opening will be provided on social media (and via email to stallholders). We look forward to having the MCFM community back together again, soon. Best wishes, Farmers’ Market Management Committee
20.01.2022 Still waiting on the mangoes to ripen. We expect to start farmers markets on Sat 6th April

19.01.2022 Our delicious tree-ripened spray-free Kensington Pride mangoes will be available at Farmers Market on Manning only, this Saturday. We are taking all possible hygienic precautions in our shed, and we ask that all customers respect the controls in place at the market, including 1.5m distancing and hand sanitisation. We are disappointed to not be able to attend our other two valued markets, and hope that things will be back to normal in the near future #farmersmarketonmanning
19.01.2022 EXPERIMENTAL MANGO TASTERS NEEDED Mango tasting would be up there as far as pretty sweet jobs go. WAs Department of Primary Industries is calling for ma...ngo lovers to help taste some new trial varieties of mangoes. These new varieties have been bred by the National Mango Breeding Program and will extend WAs mango season, providing the chance to enjoy mangoes for more of the year. Researchers are hunting for 160 consumers who have bought at least one mango this year, are between 18 and 65 and available for an hour and a half on either Saturday, November 30 or Sunday, December 1. For more information, please contact Tara Slaven, [email protected]. DPIRD

09.01.2022 Taste tests of our oranges in recent days have all been positive, even from these two very particular tasters! So it looks like we will be starting on the navels a couple of weeks earlier than normal, which should see us back at the markets on 19th Sept

01.01.2022 Weve already had lots of enquires about where to buy Dads award winning marmalade. So far its been more of a hobby for Dad than a commercial exercise, so production is quite limited. This Saturday we will be attending Mt Claremont and Subiaco farmers markets with our new season oranges and mandarins; Dad will be at Mt Claremont where he will also have a limited number of jars of marmalade available for purchase. Be sure to arrive early if you dont want to miss out
