07.01.2022 Hi guys! I hope you're all surviving, and maybe even thriving during these unprecedented times Sending you all much love and cups of tea Some of you have noticed that I've been a bit quiet recently and I wanted to give you the low down. So... First of all, our little town of Langhorne Creek gets a little busy this time of year with vintage. I go up to 60 hour weeks, and rarely get to see the hubby whilst still looking after a toddler. ... This year I was thrilled to include first trimester nausea and fatigue to the mix! Unfortunately the first scan didn't go well. The baby was more 6 weeks than 9, with a slow heartbeat. 10 days later I went back by myself (damn Covid-19 rules) to be told that the baby was even smaller and no heartbeat could be found. I felt my heart shatter in that room. My dr has told me that I now just have to 'wait out' the miscarriage. 5 days in and I'm losing my mind. This is our 2nd miscarriage and they're f*cking heartbreaking at any stage of pregnancy. They are often shrouded in secrecy and shame when they should be talked through and mourned appropriately. I am struggling with this one. It took us 6 months to get pregnant this time and we were so frickin' excited to be giving Evelyn a younger sibling. She even came to the first scan.
