24.01.2022 That is not quite how l recall the movie but it is funny.

23.01.2022 I came across an article in a coffee magazine recently called Bean Scene, which was exploring the growing trend in coffee cocktails. Melbourne has quite an amazing coffee scene and its vibrant culture has dispersed into the development of innovative coffee cocktails. The article went to say that the third most popular cocktail in Melbourne was in fact the espresso martini. There appears to be many different versions of this special beverage, with some being served with either... tequila or rum and there was another more complex brew that had tequila, Vermouth, Maraschino and Bitters, plus the coffee. No doubt there are many variations of the espresso martini, limited only by your imagination. Not sure what the ratio was with the martini's but there was another simple beverage that had Baileys served over espresso ice cubes that would be easy one to make. See more

22.01.2022 At Giovanni Coffee, we are again very proud to be a sponsor of Movies by Burswood (now called Community Cinemas). Community Cinemas is now officially the most liked (on Facebook) outdoor cinema in Australia. With 100% of profits going direct to kid's charities and $5.3 million raised to date, you have every reason to support this fantastic organisation, apart from having a great night out at the movies in one of their 5 outdoor cinemas. The season starts late November but check their website for further details. Here is the link to their site: https://communitycinemas.com.au/UniqueCont/cinemaselect.htm

21.01.2022 I came across this anonymous quote today about coffee and felt it was worth sharing, along with this great photo. "A cup of gourmet coffee shared with a friend is happiness tasted and time well spent".

21.01.2022 Check out our new video that showcases what we do.

20.01.2022 I am sure that many of us get into this state!

20.01.2022 We have just relocated to our new premises at Unit 2/516 Alexander Drive in Malaga next to La Pagnotta Bakery. Being located on Alexander Drive, we are very excited about operating from a prominent position on a major road. We are open for business and look forward to seeing you. More news to come!

19.01.2022 We were fortunate to have been able to successfully grow some coffee bushes at our business in Malaga many years ago. My father imported some Arabica coffee bushes through a local nursery, as he was unable to source them locally. It takes about 3 years before they flower but it only stays in bloom for a very short time before wilting, usually only about 1 day and so you have to be at the ready to catch a glimpse. The shape of the flower and the scent are similar to Jasmine and hence the name Arabian Jasmine used to describe this bush in the 17th century.

18.01.2022 I had the opportunity to be part of the recent launch event for WA Cheese Week 2019 at the Cheese Barrel in Millendon. Tasted a selection of beautiful cheeses from various WA producers. We were joined by Don Hancey who has come on board as their WA Cheese Ambassador. If you are a cheese lover, this is the event for you!

08.01.2022 Every month I like to update our client invoices and statements with a new photo or a cartoon image, just to keep things interesting. I have used these two in the past. If you think about them for a moment, we all probably know someone that they remind us of.

07.01.2022 We hope you had a great Easter and had a chance to enjoy some chocolate treats and some seriously good coffee.

05.01.2022 Are you a tea drinker? Many people drink tea but often do not know how to prepare it properly to achieve the perfect cup of tea. Steeping is the correct terminology used to describe the infusion process with tea. Here are a several tips to help you achieve that perfect cup of tea.... 1. Start with good quality water. Use filtered water and especially rain water if you have access to it. 2. Pre heat your tea pot or plunger and cups. 3. Use the recommended teaspoon serving per cup. 4. Correct water temperature is very important, as different classifications of tea require different water temperatures to extract the full flavour. 5. Steeping times differ between different tea classifications. Some teas like green teas get strong the longer you steep them but others like black teas deteriorate in flavour and become bitter. 6. Store your teas in an air tight container, away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Check out our website (http://www.giovannicoffee.com.au/) for more useful tips in our tea steeping guides and explore our range of Tché Villa teas for specific information including health benefits.
