14.01.2022 We are still getting asked if we are taking hay donations and the answer is YES. As with the drought we continue and still are continuing on to support Gippslan...d farmers by distributing hay to them, holding free community dinners and visiting them. The help farmers need after this fire will be on going like the drought. We plan to keep running hay up but need to make sure we keep our supplys up. Any help both financially or in a way of donating hay would be greatly appreciated. All donations to Heyfield Lions club stays in Gippsland Our banking details are Heyfield Lions Club BSB: 633-000 ACC: 151118437 Reference: HLSGF See more

09.01.2022 Yesterday I went with my Pop to Pakenham to pick up 10 fire fighting pumps for the farmers and communities in the fire area. These fires are really heartbreaking for the farmers and community. My dad is keeping a close eye on the fires from our farm today in Munro.

04.01.2022 So, as Alexs mum I have hijacked his FB page whilst he is at school :) Over the holidays Alex applied for a grant through #GippslandPHN (Gippsland Primary Health Network) to assist in covering costs for the fun run so he could raise as much as possible for the farmers. He was successful in obtaining the grant. Attached is an article if you are interested. This article gives you a bit of an insight into what he has been doing and how the drought affects him and I guess lots... of other farm kids in our area. He not only wants to raise money, but awareness is a huge factor. He currently has about 50 people registered with an aim of 200. So if you are considering in doing the run/walk, we do hope you register before the day. Thanks Casey.
04.01.2022 Alex will be on the ABC local radio at about 9:15 to promote his event.
