21.01.2022 If you are not already registered for this get on it ASAP. Looks like a fascinating series of discussions and one that Gippsland people will find interesting I’m sure.
18.01.2022 Covid means no face to face interviews so it’s using clever tech to record the stories of the 2009 bushfires for the Bunyip Historical Society. Powerful recollections from a pretty terrible episode in the regions history. This recording is using a program called Zencastr. Very clever, very simple to use and provides great audio quality recordings.
03.01.2022 Lots of personal responses after reading some of the witness statements from the 2009 Bushfire Royal Commission. Certainly confronting in terms of reading of people's experience over that week in Gippsland and around the Bunyip State Park Fire in particular. New project to record the stories of some of those who lived through the day and the following years.... Reminds me that working in Oral History is a privilege, as people talk about the journey they've been on and the experiences they have had.
