25.01.2022 Girraween Little Athletics 20/21 Season Update We are excited to let you all know that we have received Return to Play guidelines from Little Athletics NSW regarding the 20/21 Season. - We have been advised that we can return to training and begin competition from 1st September 2020.... - Registrations will open from the 15th of August 2020. We look forward to welcoming back all returning members and new members to running, jumping and throwing in a COVID safe environment. 24.01.2022 Little Athletics 2020/21 Season Update Here at GLAC, we are working hard behind the scenes to ensure a smooth return to a COVID safe Little Athletics in September 2020. With COVID & social distancing regulations and given the sheer size of our club - we have had to unfortunately cap registrations for the 2020/21 season.... We will be capping the entire club at 375 athletes in total. What does this mean? Get in quick! Registrations open 15th August - so please make sure you register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Registration Fees for the 2020/21 Season are as follows: Tiny Tots : $100 per athlete U6 - U17 - $130 for the first athlete followed by $110 for every athlete thereafter from the same family. There will be further exciting information coming regarding registration days, uniforms and personalised merchandise so please keep an eye on this page for updates! 22.01.2022 2020/2021 Little Athletics Season Update As a committee, we have reviewed the latest information from NSW Health and we have determined it safe to return to competition this Friday, 11 September. Our first competition night will be run as a modified program to accommodate handing out trophies from last season. For this week only, we have a staggered start time for each age group - please see attached photo.... It is a condition of entry that all parents/guardians/helpers/officials and athletes : Sign in and out via QR codes. Agree to temperature checks Social distance (at least 1.5 metres apart) Not attend if: a member of your household is awaiting the results of a COVID test been given a direction to self-isolate in the past 14 days you have visited Victoria in the past 14 days you have attended any of the reported case locations listed on the NSW Health website - visit https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates If you or an athlete in your family are unwell If you have not collected your athlete number for the upcoming season, you can collect on Friday from 5pm.

19.01.2022 Serious about athletics? Our training program starts tonight at Girraween for registered U7-U17 athletes. Training is not compulsory - instead designed for athletes that want to develop their skills and advance through the different stages of athletics. When:... Mondays only in September Mondays and Wednesdays from October Starts 6pm Where: CV Kelly Park Please Note: training is not a child-minding service - athletes will be expected to listen to coaches and follow their instructions. Parents must remain at the ground during training. Any athletes disrupting others from learning will be asked to return to their parents.

07.01.2022 We have a number of coaches that are taking the opportunity to take a break these school holidays. Friday night competition will proceed as normal but training has been cancelled until Monday 12 October - at which time both Monday and Wednesday night training will be offered. With contact tracing being conducted surrounding Girraween Public and St Paul's outbreaks, we have no choice but to cancel Friday's first night of competition. A decision on September 11 competition will be made mid next week. As information updates daily, we want to make sure we are armed with all relevant info...rmation before commencing our season safely. For those of you yet to collect numbers, we will still be at the ground between 6 & 7pm tomorrow night.
