19.01.2022 Since 1993, Girton students have proudly worn their school uniforms on a Sunday morning and participated in the annual Red Shield Appeal. Around 250 students and 50 parents each year take to the streets of Bendigo, Castlemaine and beyond to serve others. As one of Girton’s longest-standing Community Service initiatives, we will again be supporting the Red Shield Appeal and this year, the event is a "Digital Doorknock". ... Money that is raised will help to provide services in the Bendigo region, such as the provision of drug and alcohol abuse programs, support for domestic violence and family breakdown assistance. If you feel you are in a position to support the Digital Doorknock and to encourage others to do so, please go to the following link, or click on the image below. https://digitaldoorknock.salvationarmy.org.au/girtongrammar Any donation amount will be gratefully received by those in need.

14.01.2022 Our first Girton Gratitude Project initiative is complete, and we have our "wordle"! Research tells us that gratitude becomes even more beneficial when we express it, so this collective depiction of our community’s gratitude is a good first step toward making thankfulness a habit.

04.01.2022 It was a winning day all round for Girton’s Year 7/8 Cricket side at the Sandhurst competition yesterday. It was a much closer contest in the afternoon with Girton hanging on by a single run in a nail-biting finish. Jimmy Wilkinson was awarded Man of the Match for his brilliant stroke play at the top of both innings. The boys are congratulated for their behaviour and achievements on the field. Special thanks to Isaac Willits and Aiden Clemens for their efforts and leadership throughout the day.
