24.01.2022 Our survey results show the 9th thing people dislike most about their current resin 3D printers is its limited scope. Due to the suction forces that prints are exposed to on a bottom-up resin 3D printer during the peeling step, users of these printers can be limited in what they can print. Many resin 3D printers only have one vat size available and offer few print settings to tweak print results. As the Gizmo 3D printers are top-down printers, prints aren't exposed to suction... forces at all. Therefore users of our printers can print a broader scope of 3D models successfully. 17.01.2022 We are currently running tests to determine how we can combat heat build-up during the printing process as it can cause warping if specific printing rules are not followed. This video was filmed using a FLIR camera - it's a thermal imaging camera that detects the surface temperature of what you are shooting and will register the heat being radiated outward by that surface. 09.01.2022 Sharing some of the tools and techniques we used for finishing this resin 3D print today. We used a plastic pipette to fill any holes (caused by supports that pulled off during handling) with droplets of resin. We then used a soft brush to flatten the droplets and painted resin evenly over the entire surrounding surface for a consistent finish.
