14.01.2022 Go-Kan-Ryu Karate (GKR) is a traditional Japanese style of karate. GKR was founded by Robert Sullivan in Adelaide, South Australia. Robert first began training in the art of karate in 1964, and spent time training and teaching in both Japan and the USA before establishing GKR in 1984. GKR Karate is taught in a non-contact environment and promotes both character and physical development. GKR is a club for all ages and promotes self-defence, fitness, coordination, discipline, c...onfidence and stress relief. People of all walks of life can train together and learn the art of karate in a safe, fun and encouraging environment. 03.01.2022 To all those hoping to gain what they want to hear today this goes out to you and the rest looking to achieve the status of knowing wether or not you'll be ready. Everybody's journey is completely different as the branch instructor my journey has been incredibly different and complicated in relation to the average student. As is the rest of you theirs always a hurdle tough to overcome but that is defined by you're personality and strength of character rather then the cotton a...round you're waist, the average person does not achieve a black belt it's the above and beyond and the spirit within that attains that glory. Just remember stay focused keep calm and just do what you do the eyes that put you forward are the eyes that have attained that glory and remember enjoy it. Whatever the answer today you're all black belt material and the courage and aptitude to achieve it its all a learning curve and regardless of grade you will still learn every time you train so take today as a positive whatever the answer only you can make that choice good luck and I'll see you all later !!
