23.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Only 3 more sleeps until Shihan Anthony’s Seminar. I’ve been fortunate enough to train with and under Shihan many times over the years and I always look forward to the karate session that he teaches at our Manager’s Conferences.... Over the years there have been Instructors who have left inside me a burning desire to learn and improve after training in their class. Shihan is one of those amazing people. He will motivate every muscle in your body and leave you wanting more and more and more. I know Sunday is Fathers Day but the seminar is on in the evening when dad is probably tuckered out after his big day & will be probably having a nap on the lounge So get excited and get registered for one of the most amazing Zoom sessions you will have ever had. 23.01.2022 We had a small but great class tonight, we went through some strike/block combos, our kicks and our kata as well as jumping kata which the parents enjoyed watching! We ended the night with a couple of games and certificates. I would like to congratulate Pete on grading to 9th kyu, his worked for it! 22.01.2022 As you know, we are about to launch our LIVE ONLINE CLASSES throughout the Gold Coast, which is fantastic. Promoting this new feature to our Online Dojo via R25 FB, emails or text message ‘blasts’ is great but receiving a message from your own local instructor is much greater. Can we please share this picture with a short encouraging message from yourself on your Dojo FB page. I’m confident this would a positive affect on your students. The fact is....the more students we can encourage into training now, the more students we’ll have when our doors reopen.

21.01.2022 Hi Students & Parents, I’d like to ask for your help this coming Saturday. At Robina Dojo we are conducting a very special class which will be lots of fun and informative. Sensei Mark McConnell and our instructor team are coming together to deliver this class.... This class is being run to help out one of our Awesome Karate Mums who is very unwell and facing a challenging battle ahead and 100% of monies raised is going to help her in this difficult times. 21.01.2022 Hey guys, sorry about the late post. We had a small but great class on friday, we started the night off with our warm up and went straight into our strikes which the we absolutely smashed, especially Sue and Charlotte who kept up with the higher grades even though they hadn't done some of them before!!! We then went through kata and whilst Sensei Lindsey took Jazz and Nathan through their higher kata's I took Sue and Charlotte through their kicks which they absolutely smash...ed befor cooling off with some kumite/shoulder taps and a couple of games of catch and block! 20.01.2022 Hi to all the Karateka out there. We had a great training class on Friday 29/01 with 12 Students. Bid welcome to all our new students for 2021. Sensei Chloe took them through a warm up which we followed up with basics and kicks in a circle. 18.01.2022 We had a big class tonight which was great! We started up with a warm up and some stike/block combos before putting them into practice then finished the night with kata and games! I would like to congradulate Charlotte, Levi, Hudson, Harrison, John and Pete on grading to yellow belt, congratulations you've worked hard for it!

17.01.2022 Hi Tweed Students and Parents, For those attending the Christmas beach class tomorrow, please be aware that from 8pm tonight you will need to go online and apply for a permit for entry into QLD The permit website is currently being updated so don’t apply before 8pm... It’s frustrating that it’s come back to this. There will be no border checkpoint but police are doing random stops and audits to make sure all NSW residents have a permit. 12.01.2022 We had an awesome class tonight and I am soo proud of all our students, especially the kids they really showed awesome karate ka/etiquette and kindness tonight and I just want everyone to know how proud of them I am!!! I would also like to welcome John to the GKR family! He did awesome tonight. We started the night off with some light sparing and peggs/shoulder taps for the young ones before focusing on our strikes and block for the first half of the class which we all roc...ked! then Sensei Lindsey took the adults through kata while I took the kiddies through a couple of games which was great fun! I would like to say once again just how proud of the kids I am! When one of the kids got upset they all rallied together to make them feel better and get them to laugh and I just can't get over how proud of them I am!!!! 12.01.2022 Hi Students and Parents, For those of us who live near or over the border it’s reached that time of year again. Tonight we need to put our clocks and watches FORWARDS by one hour. ... The benefits for those who live near the border and have a permit is that NSW classes are an hour ahead and you can bring the kids for a class at 4.30pm QLD which will be 5.30pm NSW time. 11.01.2022 Dear Students, After a long awaited time, we are excited to announce that your dojo is now reopening, although we need to adhere the COVID guidelines of 20 per class until further restriction are lifted. As for the NSW classes, these will resume back in the first week of the NSW school holidays. 10.01.2022 Hi Everyone, The deadline to get your jacket orders in is coming this Sunday. So please hand your completed ‘Student Jacket Order Form’ with payment back to your instructors by Sunday 8th September. If your unable to hand it into your instructor you can email to [email protected] and I’ll submit it for you.... The jacket is priced at $79 and looks amazing. ( I’ve seen one ) The new club badge is embroidered on the front All writing and kanji on the back is embroidered also There are 2 zip pockets at the front The sizings are pretty standard ie: if you’re usually a medium then order a medium. If you want to wear it over a canvass uniform, then you could possibly go up a size? The material is the ‘standard tracksuit’ kind (ie: nylon/parachute material) We have included an indicative age chart to help parents choose the correct size. Sensei Lindsey had the adults focus on their kata whilst I took young Charlotte through our strikes and kicks and let me tell you we have to keep an eye on this one!
