24.01.2022 Dear Students, GKR student jacket is NOW available for order. Attached is an order form you can print out and give to your instructor with payment by Sunday 8th... September. The jacket is priced at $79 The new club badge is embroidered on the front All writing and kanji on the back is embroidered also There are 2 zip pockets at the front The sizings are pretty standard ie: if you’re usually a medium then order a medium. If you want to wear it over a canvass uniform, then you could possibly go up a size? The material is the ‘standard tracksuit’ kind (ie: nylon/parachute material) We have included an indicative age chart to help you choose the correct size. The jackets have come up looking great and expecting them to be very popular. It will be great to see our Karate-ka young and old getting around in their Fantastic club jackets.

23.01.2022 We are excited to announce the relaunch of our National Squad Tournament Team in Victoria. We are encouraging all students with a keen interest in tournaments t...o attend this Open Day on June 2nd. National Squad training is the ultimate training for those that are looking to improve their skills in kata and kumite. This open session will be run by Victorian State team coaches, Zone Instructors and Regional Instructors. There will be many tips given towards improving your karate and we will also give you an overview of this years schedule and plan of attack. The class is open to all students (all ages) that are yellow belt or above. There is no obligation to continue with the monthly squad training after this session but we do encourage you to come along and find out all about it. Hope to see you there :) See more

10.01.2022 Hi all, While in isolation (strange even using those words), I’m working on some of my goals, one of those goals is to do 2 to 4 training sessions a day, one of... those being GKR karate online, I’m doing my regular home training but given there are no classes I’m going through the online portal. onlinedojo.gkrkarate.com/store78476au I have recorded a few short videos of my online training to give you an idea on what is available, currently going through some of the basics which is really great, recording myself and getting direct feedback; I’m looking forward to going through all the other training videos, been through some kata videos earlier. How does this work? Currently direct debit fees have been suspended, you now have the option in joining the online training for $7.95 a week and the whole family can use it. You will have received an email from club, can’t see it, check your junk folder, otherwise click on the link. Feels odd not being in a Gi, I think I will train in a Gi tomorrow.

07.01.2022 Life has thrown us a temporary curve ball, but that doesn't mean our health, fitness, self-defence skills or enjoyment of karate has to end. During this peculi...ar period, GKR Karate is bringing the dojo to you. Online classes for all grades and ages, covering all facets of training; and all classes are designed with limited space in mind. There is no reason why your skills and fitness can't continue to improve right now. It just requires a tiny bit of self-discipline on your part to get the ball rolling. And the beauty of self-discipline, is its only difficult for a few minutes, because after this, motivation to keep going kicks in.

03.01.2022 Hello GKR Cranbourne Nth students and parents. I just finished a Kihon Session with Sensei Karl Hughes on GKR's Online Dojo. The session included some basics as... well as advanced techniques. Worked up a sweat and feeling great. I encourage all students to keep up their training whilst at home, and to give the Online Dojo a go. Whilst it is great to train together at our Dojo, the Online Dojo gives you a variety of different classes with different Sensei's, focusing on basics, advanced techniques, kumite, kata, and overall fitness.
