23.01.2022 December Grading Prep 13th December 2020 is the last Grading of what has been a disrupted year. As such, from today until the end of the year, Surrey Sunday double classes will no longer be a fundamentals class and advanced class, but will be double sessions to assist all students to be as ready as they can be for their next grading assessments where eligible. We will be working on all techniques, grading Combo’s, Kumite and Kata to assess readiness and will be ...providing clear feedback on all your Karate aspects and what needs to be worked on for you to be sent to this final grading of 2020. We hope as many students as possible will be able to stay for the double session, as there won’t be a bow in/out between first and second sessions, but students who cannot remain for both will provided the opportunity to be bowed out collectively. OUR CLASSES ARE RE-OPENING FROM TUESDAY 1ST DECEMBER IN SOUTH AUSTRAL...IA The majority of our venues have granted us immediate access to their halls and classes will commence straight away in these locations. A small number of schools have indicated a delay in re-opening their hall to community hirers, but we will continue corresponding with these venues and let you know as soon as those classes can open. 08.01.2022 Dear R9 Karate-Ka, Starting tomorrow - Tuesday 17 November 2020 all classes will be suspended. As you may of all seen today in South Australia, S.A Health have put indoor sport into a two week closure which includes Karate. ... Please note that here at GKR, we care about our students and instructors so we fully support this decision. A text will be sent to students tomorrow morning letting them know about our classes temporarily closing and there training fees will be suspended during this period. It can take up to 48 hours for payments to stop so those that have money come out tomorrow or Wednesday then they may still have a payment come out. We ask that you keep an eye on your emails for official correspondence and please keep in contact with your Facebook Dojo pages for updates. 08.01.2022 URGENT ATTENTION! Due to the large number of students grading on this Sunday, 13th September 2020, we will have to split the grading into 2 sessions. The first ...session (check in at 10.30am) will be as usual from 11.00am - 12.30pm for White belts to Yellow belts only. Second session (check in at 12.30pm) will be from 1.00pm for Yellows belt and above. We will impose a "One parent allow in for each family rule" in order to comply with the current Covid-Safe Plan requirement on social distancing imposed by the State government. 04.01.2022 IMPORTANT TO READ A message about this upcoming grading from Sensei Edde. Dear Karate-ka and Parents... This Sunday 9/8/20 will be our first public grading since the Covid-19 lockdown in March. We will have a large number of students attempting their next level, hence we divided the grading into two sessions. The first session is for Yellow and Orange Belt assessment (check in at 10.30am) and the second session is for Green Belt and above assessment (check in at 12.30pm). Due to the current Covid-19 guidelines for social distancing, we will only allow ONE PARENT into the grading session. We apologies for this restriction and believe that everyone will understand the current situation. Everyone MUST sanitise your hand (provided at the door) before entering the gym.
