25.01.2022 Hey Tigers We had an amazing class on Thursday with a bit of Okinawan style training thrown in. We started the class with a pyramid warm up then moved into a big circle, stood in heikodachi we took it in turns to count to ten and go through our basic strikes and blocks, 600 techniques in total well done guys you all put in an amazing effort. We then set to work on our core stances working through each one first stationary then moving forwards and backwards... At the end of the class John & Joseph were both awarded there first grading certificates reaching 9th kyu well done boys you’re both showing great focus and attitude keep up the good work . 23.01.2022 Fun class tonight with some gradings and awesome first class and a visit from Sensei Garth.

21.01.2022 It was a great class on Tuesday we did a mini circuit, focusing on learning how to do a spinning back kick and having some fun trying out a jump kick. We also focused on some conditioning and core strength using the focus mitts I was very impressed with the responses, effort and the positive ‘give it a go’ attitude by all the students! 20.01.2022 2nd to last class of the year and we had some karate based fun in class tonight. We started with a warm up of shoulders and knees using our stances and movements we’ve been working on then we moved into some partner drills moving forwards and backwards with our head, stomach and belt level strikes and blocks in zenkutsadachi. We then split into groups and practiced our punches by punching through some paper sheets, awesome fun . ... We then finished off the class by beating up poor old Sempai Peter, who was suitably dressed for the occasion and looked fabulous. At the end of the class we awarded a student his next level of 7th kyu ho, young alex was due his next grade last week but didn’t show the correct attitude or focus, we had a chat to him and he promised to try harder this week and tonight he smashed it, well done alex you did an awesome job keep up the good work See you on Thursday night Tigers for our end of year xmas party

19.01.2022 A big shout out to all of the Tapping Tiger Karate-Ka’s that trained on Tuesday I was very impressed with everyone using the time before class to practice their katas and do some stretching. Also the focus and effort you all put in going through our grading formats was amazing A special mention to Tanu and Karli for being our awesome students of the week ... 16.01.2022 Hey Tigers So yesterday we had our last region 13 grading of the year and we had 3 students move through to there next level. Sisters Darci & Phoebe both did an awesome job in what was a very good group of new students attempting there first grading and both were rewarded for the hard work they put in with fresh new 8th kyu yellow belts, well done girls.... Then we had the little Ninja Tristan smash out an awesome performance and achieved a well earned new 7th kyu orange belt, well done little man you’ve put in a lot of work and really earned that new belt were very proud . See you all at classes this week and we’ll finish off the year in style

07.01.2022 Hey Tigers What an awesome class we had tonight, myself and Sempai Peter we’re very impressed with everyone’s focus and attitudes. We started off with some basic strikes and blocks in Heikodachi then progressed onto moving forwards and backwards in Zenkutsadachi executing the same strikes & blocks. We finished the class off with kata.... At the end of class we awarded 3 deserving students their next grade levels, Vienna received her first grading of 9th kyu yellow tip, sisters Darci & Phoebe both received their 7th kyu ho orange tips. Well done girls you smashed it tonight keep practicing and in no time you’ll get your next belt colours. Until time guys have a great weekend, stay safe and we’ll see you all next week

04.01.2022 Hey Tapping Tigers. I hope everyone is staying dry and warm today. As you are aware I had been away for some time, this was due to personal matters that required my immediate attention BUT I AM BACK and it was great seeing everyone at class last Tuesday, I had missed you all! I was very impressed with how much you have all grown and developed in your karate journeys I am looking forward to continuing to watch you all shine ... I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Sensei Dylan for stepping up and taking the class in my absence I would also officially like to welcome Sempai Peter to the Tapping instructor team Sempai Peter and myself will be running the Tuesday class together! A massive congratulations to everyone who graded on Sunday (photos to come) You should all be very proud of your hard work and determination!
