25.01.2022 It was such a fantastic experience for all present as both Kancho and Hanshi shared some important Karate principles and life philosophies as well. The importan...t point from Hanshi that Karate is a lifelong pursuit was relevant for all students and a reminder to keep on learning. It was so inspiring to see the speed, fluidity and effectiveness of Hanshi unarmed and with a weapon in his hands as well. Hopefully we will have the pleasure to see Hanshi and Kancho together again at another Seminar in the near future. See more

12.01.2022 Are you EXCITED about the National Championships? Whether you are competing to represent our state or an all important member of the support crew/cheer squad it’s going to be an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME event!

12.01.2022 GKR Karate 2019 National Championships! CONGRATULATIONS to all of our Region 24 and Queensland competitors for their outstanding display of ability... and sportsmanship. It was truly heartwarming to see the support and encouragement for one another whether you were a Dojo mate or an opponent. A MASSIVE thank you to our Officials, Instructors, Families and Friends who made the day such an AMAZING event for everyone there. A special thank you to Shihan Gavin Samin, Sensei Mark Case, Sensei Kelvin Trembath, Sensei Gary Luxton, Sensei David Atkinson-Old, Sensei Ray Bettridge and the Australian and New Zealand Management Team for their outstanding teamwork to bring everything together to make the 2019 Championships such a success!!! It was certainly an honour for us all to have both Kancho Robert Sullivan and Hanshi Tino Ceberano present as their 50 year history is a unique friendship and both men are true living legends of Australian Karate. Every R24 competitor should be as proud of their efforts and the bravery it takes to step up to the challenge as their instructors and support crew are. Whether the medal around your neck reminds you of your important achievement or the close contest that showed you a lesson yet to be learnt hold your head high in a humble way tomorrow. Feel free to share any photos, results or stories in the comments section please. Yours with much respect and gratitude, Andrew Howell Regional Instructor See more
