25.01.2022 Superhero Safety Week starts Monday 16th November! Safety Week is upon us, and this year BlueFit Swimming are asking students to come dressed up as their favourite Superhero! This week is an important initiative that takes place during your regular swimming lessons. Within the lesson there will be a focus on water safety skills such as floating, survival sequences, treading water, survival strokes and basic rescue techniques ... We will also be giving out prizes for the best-dressed students! We look forward to seeing our little superheroes!

20.01.2022 Gladstone Aquatic Centre would like to welcome Bethany Hackfath to the Team! Bethany is an already an employee of BlueFit but she was based at another location before deciding to take on her new role here with us as our Swim School Manager A lot of the team are already familiar with Bethany’s glowing personality and we are very excited to be working alongside her. 16.01.2022 As the warmer season comes to an end so does Mount Larcom Swimming Pool’s operating season Mount Larcom Pool will close for its annual winter closure on Sunday, 18th April, and will re-open at the end of September in 2021. So be sure to get in one last swim before then!

Thanks again to Tish, Ruby and all the instructors for your hard work and commitment to the program this far. You will forever be in the memories of these kids teaching them important lessons around water safety .

13.01.2022 Due to major re-development project of our Splash Zone at Gladstone Aquatic Centre, it will be closed from February 1st until June 2021. As this is a full renovation the construction process will need to occur over a few months, we apologise for any inconveniences but we are extremely excited to see the outcome. We will continue to keep you updated on the project and confirm an opening date closer to June.

13.01.2022 Gladstone Regional Council and the team at Gladstone Aquatic Centre have been working towards finalising a date to shut down the Gladstone Aquatic Centre over a 7 day period for the electrical and distribution board upgrades. We have come to a confirmed date that we will be closed between December Monday 7th through to the 14th December. Learn To Swim families will not be charged for this week, there is no need for you to do anything. We are excited to re-open our facility with our final upgrades for the Gladstone facility. We apologise for any inconveniences and thank you for your patience.

11.01.2022 The Gladstone Aquatic Centre team are sad to say goodbye to Kristy Brewer who has fulfilled the role as Swim School Manager for quite some time. Kristy has decided to take on another career outside of BlueFit and we would like to wish her well on her new endeavour. Thank you for everything you have done Kristy and for the support you have shown the staff. Learn to swim families will miss you as will we. Good luck and we will be sure to see you around!

11.01.2022 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr Terry Fellows, Special Olympics coach, Life Member of Gladstone Swimming Club and a friend to all. Terry passed away in October while on a diving holiday with friends. Our thoughts are with Terry's family and friends. We offer our condolences during this difficult time and say thank you for sharing this wonderful man with us. Terry has been an inspirational member of the swimming community. His smiling face and passion for swimming were so engaging. He was kind, honest, personified commitment and never let anything stop him from enjoying the company of others. Terry has coached so many swimmers throughout his years at the Gladstone Aquatic Centre and was a role model to everyone in and out of the water. You are a friend to all Terry and you will be missed dearly.

09.01.2022 BlueFit Swimming is excited to offer FREE Splash Time infant classes at our Gladstone Aquatic Centre facility. These sensory-based classes are designed for babies up to 4 months of age as an introduction to the pool in a fun and nurturing environment. Swimming is not only important for water safety but also helps your child’s development, improves coordination, balance and muscle development while also providing socialisation. Our Splash Time classes are a great way ...to bond with your little one while also meeting parents with babies of a similar age. Classes are on the first Wednesday of every month at 11am. 01.01.2022 Gladstone aquatic centre hosted its first school carnival of summer 2020 and even though it was small it went off with a bang. Thank you to all the teachers and students for allowing us to host your event. It was brilliant to see the kids having a bit of extra fun at the end of their races.

Mondays: 25m Pool - 9:00am - 1:00pm booked.... Wednesdays: 25m Pool - 12:00pm - 2:00pm booked. Fridays: 25m Pool - 9:00am - 1:00pm booked. Learn to Swim will run as per normal, however, there is no access to these pools during these times to the public. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
