14.01.2022 Today the Year 6 students and staff attended the Boyne Island Environmental Education Centre to participate in a leadership program. We had a great day full of challenges. We worked as a team to across the lava pit, build a tower, completed low ropes courses, and many more. During various activities the students learnt how to manage and build personal and social awareness skills. They participated in leadership games. The students were able to determine if they were successfu...l by identifying their emotions and feelings, recognising their strengths and weaknesses, and by working in a team and valuing others' ideas. The students learnt what it meant to be a leader and how to listen to others and take advice. They were given the opportunity to set goals and reflect on these at the end of the day. It was a fantastic day and we're proud to say that South students demonstrated our motto, 'Our best always' extremely well. Top job South! See more
