01.01.2022 Yesterday it was with mixed emotions that I retired from teaching at Gladysdale Primary School. Happy to now have time to spend with family and to do the many things l still want to do with my life but sad to leave a job I love. I will still keep a connection to teaching as a volunteer in school and casual work occasionally. I had a great send off by staff, parents and children. Doesn’t seem that long ago since my first grade 1 in 1975 and my last 21 + years at Gladysdale Pri...mary School have been amazing especially since I told them I would stay for 2 weeks while they found someone else to teach Art and PE. Thankyou to everyone at Gladysdale for making my day so special. Especially my wonderful grade and Belinda (B1), the other 1/2 of our team in our shared grade. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner. Also thanks to Jeff and the rest of staff for their help and support over the years. Thanks to all the parents who have supported their children and me and have helped out with many sports events and camps as well as in the classroom over the years. I will never forget running a haunted house at the Apple Festival and our great camps at Coonawarra, Urban Camp and Sovereign Hill. See more
