24.01.2022 Would really appreciate you, the potential adopter’s insight please Are there any STAND OUT cattery pages on FB where you think ~ wow, that breeder really markets themselves exceptionally well; or provides info on their page that continues to draw you back to it. Glamason are always striving to improve and we take all feedback as a positive.

24.01.2022 This directory leads you to AUTHENTIC and confirmed REGISTERED breeders. My cattery is on here and I have received many MANY enquiries thanks to this wonderful website. All breeders are checked and confirmed with their Governing Org via the owner of this site. If they are fake, they don’t get in.

13.01.2022 Dream is the most erratic cat we have owned. It is like she is on speed 24/7. You hardly see her sitting still for too long. She is currently listening to the Pet Tunes and has actually started to relax and has been laying here grooming herself for approx 15 Minutes now.

I am a stickler for taking weight prior to being placed with a male and then taking the weight again a couple of weeks later.... I have been trying to sneak a peak at her nips but she is super fluffy and super sensitive to touch

10.01.2022 FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) is quite prevalent in our darling Maine Coons and although it can now be cured, it is devastating and costly, both financially and emotionally. One key aspect to FIP is STRESS!!! Stress places a huge burden on the cat’s immune system and this in turn can and does mutate a normal non invasive coronavirus in to FIP. Glamason want to do everything possible to deter this from happening and some of our choices may not be what other breeders w...ould do, but at the end of the day, Glamason want to reduce stress levels wherever possible. Things which stress a cat/kitten: Birthing Environment Vet Medical treatments Nutrition Other animals Humans Moving house The list is quite endless.

08.01.2022 Another tip when looking for your perfect breeder Ask how many litters the mum has had. Does said number seem alarming?... Research the answer to ensure it is truthful. The beautiful creatures should not be breeding machines.

05.01.2022 I am horrified by the amount of kittens being advertised as registered with organisations which are NOT authentic. I understand that people have no clue as to what is an authentic Cat Fancy so will provide you links to where you can find them. Any Cat Fancy Council will either come under ACF, CCCA or, NATIONAL.... Example: I am registered with ANCATS (Australian National Cats Inc) and they are a NATIONAL registered breeders Cat Fancy. Don’t get suckered in by people stating they are registered breeders with places such as the Companion Animals Organisation and the likes. ONLY adopt a kitten through one of the organisations listed in the following links. 02.01.2022 If I can URGE you to do anything specific for your Maine Coon baby, it is to start putting money aside now for emergencies - like FIP. Please please please..... if your previous fur soul is struck down with FIP, reach out to me. It is no longer a death sentence but it is expensive to treat. I hate seeing people having to put their baby to sleep because the vet didn’t speak up and the person had no knowledge of the cure....

02.01.2022 There is a lot of discussion around the size of a quality Maine Coon. It’s become the norm for people to want a large cat as this is what people have been led to believe a quality Maine Coon should be. Now, if you actually go back through the archives of the original Maine Coons, I think you will be very surprised to see that they really are not as big as what you think. Over time, the European type has become the sought after cat, and I get it. Super strong features and la...rger than normal. This isn’t what the Maine Coon was and like most breeds, changes have come about with introduced lines. I am going to share the link to Pawpeds. 01.01.2022 This is beyond heart shattering but sadly it is STILL common. This is why supporting REGISTERED breeders who do EVERYTHING right is so very important! Ask the questions Get the god damn answers Walk away when your gut tells you ... something is not right REPORT them Even with the law changes in VIC, I ask you to read through the Breeding Regulations and absorb the silly expectations that DEPI are asking of breeders who DO, do the right thing! I will NEVER raise my animals in concrete pens. I will NEVER expose my animals to such horrendous conditions! I invite the RSPCA, Oscars Law and any other animal rescue to come here, any time, to witness just how animals SHOULD be bred and raised by someone who DOES TRULY CARE. Don’t for one minute think this only happens in large establishments. This treatment can and does also happen amongst unscrupulous small hobby breeders that have no heart or conscience!! If my set up is not appropriate, and the council or anyone else expects me to make changes, which pushes me to implement the expectations from a Government that has ZERO understanding, SHUT ME DOWN.
